I'm opening this post as a place to describe hen sightings, specifically :-)

    Here's the first one:

Penny is sound asleep on top of Tilly (or visa versa) with Milly cuddled beside them. Now THATS community!

    I see...

Tilly and Penny hiding at the back under the house, sheltering from the wind.

Milly is out front, gobbling everything in sight. She's making the most of having no Tilly to peck her, i think :P

Ollie! (This is a respone to Ollie's worry in another post - a worry I have every time I come on this late and see the feathers in the food area.) I BELIEVE that when the feathers are this evenly dispursed that its a good sign that it is just moulting. That's what I tell myself at least... Sigh.

The rain might sound nice but it's not so good when you have to go out and feed the animals in it :D

The day has turned out beautiful, although none of the girls are sunbathing...in fact all three of them are hiding right back in the extension of the coop, grooming themselves.

I'm glad Janice mentioned that was rain yesterday. I've always heard that sound as another version of the electronic interference "slurping" we hear. It sounds very lovely when you know its rain (and don't have to slosh around in it) :D

Tilly is taking the opportunity to display her new arrangement with her feathers on cam at the moment. Ah - there is the spectacular Ms. Milly.

Ooooh i just heard a really LOUD magpie squawk from the cam, and now the girls are wide awake wondering what's going on outside, bless them! I see Tilly and Penny are sleeping either side of Milly...they look very cute.

Hey Diane, I managed to get some more mouse pics tonight for you :) I was cleaning them out and managed to get a few sneaky photos - which is not easy! I put all the mice in a small cardboard box when i am cleaning them out, and they keep me so busy cleaning the cage and trying to make sure none of them escape at the same time :D

I'll try get them up on hencam within the next few days, but it may be a bit longer depending on when my dad has a little free time to help me :P

Hi, everybody!! The girls were just standing up but it looks like they've settled down a bit....Milly isn't included in this, I can't see her at all. One of the two (Penny and Tilly) is hunkered down with head in feathers...the other is sitting up a bit but looks pretty quiet...head moving side to side a bit.

Diane, I have to get used to this 17 inch screen because my eyesight isn't that great anymore....I had an easier time with the laptop!!! However, this big desktop runs MUCH cooler...in fact, it seems not to get hot at all!!!

I'm off to do the World Media Watch......

One of the others is also standing, but her head is out and the other is next to her, standing. First gal just sat down !! They should be rockin' and rolling soon--they seem to be busy by 7am. Wonder how the changing daylight is affecting them!! By the way, we're with Daylight Savings Time until Nov. 4 here in the States, which is several weeks longer than in the past. It really is affecting when I walk the dogs! Good morning, all!!

    Dianne. Re your 6.14 post;
The moving letters are large capitols, maybe 16 or 20 point, coloured lilac.
The underlining is not there all the time, only when the letters run away off the page side but not when the letters bounce from side to side.
The red lettering in previous post behaves in the same way though it doesn't bounce.

    I'm very impressed !
