    Keeper of the hens

I found a really good photo editing program (I say found, my dad recommended it) that is free. It's called Pixlr and has some really nifty tools. I spent a good five hours today messing about with photos - SO MUCH FUN!

The first one I did was lump lots of Zoey's together, of various ages :rolling: Unfortunately I didn't have the full-size images of baby Zoey, so they look a little jagged, and because this was my first time it's not very good...but I loved making it!

    A more standard one

Everyone says Staffordshire Bull Terriers are monsters, right?! :rolling:

And I made a range of Reys too; he's 6 weeks old at the youngest and 6 months old at the oldest!

Also the rock that the oldest Rey is lying on wasn't actually there...Pixlr has this really nifty 'stamp' tool where you can set a marker and wherever you draw it replicates where the marker is...so if you look closely you'll see the rock he's lying on is actually just a duplicate of the rock above him!!

Next I made Zoey relax in a pond :tooth: In the original photo it's actually Kasper, on a longline, in the pond. I cut Kasper out, replaced him with Zoey, then used one of Kasper's legs (the one that didn't have any spots showing!) for both of Zoey's!! I also reshaped the ripples on the water so they were surrounding Zoey.

It's not perfect, but again it was fun to do and it's drastically different to the original

Finally I edited Rey into last year's Christmas photo :rolling:

They're great for a first effort! The more you do it the better they'll get. I love the part-sepia ones.

They're really cool (and ridiculous! Zoey with multiple eyes made me dizzy!)

You can sometimes get away with slightly rough cut-outs by using a soften or blur around the edge of the bit you've pasted in (make sure it's in it's own layer so you don't get a blurred background line around it). It's easier to do than it is to explain!

Zoey in the puddle is really good - she looks like she's climbing out of the water dry - I was trying to work out where you'd replaced/joined and it looked good to me, I did just spot it though when you said you'd used Kasper's legs - they matched up well! I thought the join was the water-line... :)

Rey needs a shadow on the carpet in the Xmas pic - I think that's what makes your brain think 'huh?!'

    Thank you so much everyone!

I discovered that the rubber tool (you know to get rid of the edges around something you've pasted?) has two types; one of them has a blurred edge! So if you use that it helps it look smoother, and then you can use the blur tool on top of that
