hi it is Suzy and Dom - we are still trying to work out this photo thing - any ideas on how to make a picture upload? we are posting a web address in the personal details box and nothing is happening?

Hi Suzy, follow these instructions they are so easy even I did it.
    xx Cake

HOW TO POST A PHOTO HERE! (Note: The only way to understand this is to follow each step - so; reading ahead is hazardous! Read the next paragraph, scan the rest and assume you won't understand that part until you are following the steps. :) )

First, copy and paste the following instructions into a Word Document on your computer, so that you can refer to them after you close out Hencam to begin the process of uploading a photo from you computer into this forum photo album. (You need to have the photos stored on your computer to do this. Either with a digital camera or by making a cd at the photo store and then using that to save them in a directory.)

    Then, go to this address:
    http://photobucket.com/
    • Follow the instructions there to: Setup a (free) account
    • Then, go to ‘My Album’
    • Click on one of the ‘Browse…’ buttons
    • Double click on a the photo you want (in from computer photo file)
    • Press ‘Upload’ and wait
    • Once uploaded, click on the little ‘edit’ option (right above the picture)
    • Click on ‘Resize’ and select ‘Web/Email’ option
    • Click on your back arrow to go back to the previous screen
    • Move your cursor to the HTML Tag box and click and highlight the code that begins with: <a href=
    • Right mouse click and select copy (once the whole sentence of code is highlighted.
    • Return to the Hencam Forum and the PHOTO ALBUM and paste the code into the comment box
    • Make sure the ‘html’ option (versus the ‘text’ option) is selected, below the comment box
    • Write whatever else you want to and then press ‘enter’!

to see why our ITV channels keep breaking up -
Apparently, it is something to do with a police CB radio in Keighley which is drowning out the signal - I blame Wazza from the forum! They suggested fitting a filter (which they'll charge for, natch, and which "might" even fix it...)

Niel, unless you have very cheapo tv, then the perpetrater has to sort this out for you. It is only a graphite ring onto your ariel wire behind tv. Someone a while back did this... now who was it? He is a moderator on here....

I strongly suspect the aerial guys are trying to get us to spend more on "snake oil"... didn't really think it was your fault Wazza :)

Glad you are about though as that gives me more ammo when the aerial fitters come round on Friday.

Oli - I fit a spare ferrite ring I had on the hencam audio cable - has anyone heard the rogue signals recently (last few weeks or so?) - if so, it worked! From what the aerial guys said this was more than a ferrite ring, but they could just be talking rubbish (for a change!)

    Keeper of the hens

I daredn't try and fix it now with all you watching in case it's not up to everyone's exacting standards of plastic re-alignment and re-suspension!

Might have a go on Saturday morning when nobody's online!!

Not sure what the bell is...? Although occasionally there's the odd car alarm that goes off (what is the point of them?!), and somebody has a burglar alarm that sometimes goes off down the road in the morning - I'll have to set ours off one day to make sure you're all awake!! :D

Does anyone ever hear the trains? Although we're a couple of miles from the nearest station in Bingley, when it's quiet (usually on a weekend morning) we can hear the train horns which is quite a nice sound. I can't describe what it's like though!

The bell is a single 'dong' rather like has been suggested for between rounds. Maybe one of the chicks is pecking the mike, though nothing to be seen.

My house alarm went off at 5.0am Christmas morning !!! Spooky, as my CCTV camera didn't pick up anything. He must have flown over the roof and come in the back door.

There's a wind chime attached to the shed, could be that? It's all tangled together after the gale force winds so it doesn't make a very dingy dong anymore...hmm, that makes no sense :o
