    Keeper of the hens

She's not been very well lately (comparatively I guess - it's not like it's something that ever leaves her 100%), and what with fighting the generally unhelpful care system she's not been very active on here.

I hope she'll be back soon too. We spoke the other day on video-chat and we hope to see her this weekend.

The NHS fail people like Red on a daily basis - completely underfunded. I am always amazed at how well she copes with her life all things considered and she is an inspiration. Hope you're back with us soon Red - we miss you. xx

    Keeper of the hens

Awww, thank you so much everyone :)

Ollie, thank you for this thread, it means the world to me that you (and others) would care, and notice and think of me when I've been missing for a while.

Kate, I am far from an inspiration - Kasper's Gotcha walk today was the first time I've left the house in ages :rolling:

Still here, still plodding on, still getting nowhere...lucky to have the pets and Lyle to keep me on track

    Keeper of the hens

We did paint the spare room in our house recently - we cleared all the junk out of it (everyday 'where do we put this?' junk, but also lots and lots of rubbish - we didn't have a designated wheelie bin for a lot of the time we lived here, and when we did buy a new one the bins only get emptied once a fortnight so we have a LOT of built up stuff to bin. We're going to ask family for several lifts to a skip to try clear it...). We brought some furniture up from downstairs, then we painted the room!

The idea is that the upstairs becomes the place we spend most our time (with the spare room being a tiny living room, and the bedroom being a sleep / 'quiet zone' - the dogs can walk between the two during the day); the kitchen remains the dog's crate room and the living room will be Aubree and the chins play room AND a dog training room - I can leave the agility equipment set up then!

It's this really nice light bluey grey colour - really hard to accurately photograph though! This is the colour it looks to be, although the paint wasn't dry here

If I didn't have to go to work I don't think I'd go out either! I stand by my comments.

The colour looks great! I have the week off and decided I'd paint the living room but getting the car took over at the start of the week. I painted the ceiling on Wed but the paint was old and had thickened. It took forever and next day it was really patchy. Had to buy more paint but have a proper finish now. Kids arrived tea time on Thurs so I won't get any colour on the walls until Mon now. Also annoyed with myself because I bought silk finish when I wanted matt - what does posess me when I have to make a choice?! - but don't think I have enough paint by a long chalk so might spread it thin and then get matt to go over the top.
