So happy to tell you that Minnie seems to have built up immunity from flea bites this year. I can not tell you what a relief that is to us all. She is such a sweet little girl and hasnt got a mean bone in her body, so gentle and loving I must do some more photos for you all I havent posted any in such a long while.

It would be lovely to see some pictures NN, and I'm so pleased she's coping better with flea bites.

I'm struggling at the moment because there's a lovely old girl at homing called Millie. She is 15 and has arthritis, and being in the pen all day is making her stiffer. Problem is she doesn't like other cats so I can't bring her home even if I wanted to. I so wish I could find her a home - every now and then one really pulls at your heartstrings.

The prices they charge for a vet visit here is horrible too. I had Chloe in for her yearly wellness check up yesterday and they did nothing and charged $52 dollars. :face-sad:

I recently posted on a vet practice comment thread because they were moaning about owners arguing over the bill and said they shouldn't have pets if they can't afford them. I put that vets shouldn't be carrying out tests that owners can't afford and making them feel like bad owners for not having the latest all singing all dancing diagnostics such as CT scans when a stethoscope and knowledge used to be enough. There doesn't seem to be much balance.

Thanks!! I thought I'd get some grief back, but I didn't. I acknowledged that it's a two way process and owners need to be realistic too, but that the onus is on the vet to make owners aware of costs and be realistic about appropriate treatment and guide owners and support them to make humane and sensible decisions. Don't think it gave them any room to criticise back!

The story of the shelf is adorable. And, yes, Maya would love one too. She says her little bed with an electric heater in it would fit just perfectly. (Only she said: Purrfectly.)

Maybe we should do a Gofundme-shelves for G/N (and N/N as his helper). Pretty cool way to tour the world really.

Whenever any of our ice hockey players have gone to foreign tournaments they take out really old items of kit then buy as much new as they can fit in the bag for family and friends. One guy said he left so much old hockey kit in the hotel room they'd have to fumigate to get rid of the smell!

Transport numbers-wise, and in regard to the whole group visiting The Source which is the actual hen house, it would seem that Lynnie and I need to travel to that side of the pond. Or, you all gather (and by USA standards, you are all next door neighbors) and we set up a Skype in for Ms L and I and Julie if she reappears among us. HIC2018!

Who among you has met fact-to-face so far? I know that CC and Shobhna have met.

I have annual leave to use up NN so happened to be at home when the postman arrived. I thought I'd have a lie-in today, make the most of not being at work, but was wide awake at 8! Spent all day cleaning so made good use of it. I decided to give Ting Tong one of the squid, and put the others in the drawer. They've all driven me mad because they can smell them! Jenson helped himself to one, and then TT stole another one!

Hencam would be the perfect point! I haven't met anyone face to face.

I think I remember an egg competition, NN!

    Doing the math:

How far are each of you from hencam?

I am 4,592 miles, assuming hencam is in Bradford. I am 4,738 miles from CC. That makes me think that CC is roughly 146 miles from HQ. I was about to say that I am 50 miles from work so hencam is an easy jaunt by US standards for those of you living in Great Britain. But, I'm 123 miles from Lynnie and we have yet to meet. Then again, we are a ferry ride and really horrible Seattle traffic away from each other...

He just smiles and shakes his head, Normally he will say oh its so many miles away and all I want to know is how long will it take to get there !! That way I know if to take a drink or snacks Ha ha. I will ask G/N he says Bradford is aprox 65 miles Kate is aprox 65 miles also and CC is aprox 110 miles

My commute to work is 10 miles and takes 45 mins if I leave home at 7am. I work 5 days and volunteer 1 day so day 7 really is a day of rest!!!
