Posting a review of this pet shop here, as they are awful and I don't want others spending money on ill pets.

The pet shop used to be very good, and we had many pets from there, but recently a lot of changes have been made (including staff changes) and it is awful now. There have been a few warning signs, but the worst happened a few weeks ago.

I bought 3 mice from this shop & upon bringing them home immediately noticed they had respiratory infections. This is a condition easily noticed by clicking noises every time the mouse takes a breath and sneezing. Anybody with any rodent experience would catch this illness early on.

I phoned the shop and told them the mice were ill as soon as we got home. The shop unhelpfully told me to bring them back & were entirely unapologetic. Difficult when your partner is disabled, & since they had already shown the level of care they provide I didn't trust them to care for the mice further.

We took them to the vets the very next day; one mouse needed putting down, the others are on medication which *may* cure them, or may only improve their condition rather than cure it completely.

Any pet shop this incompetent doesn't warrant visiting.

I'd also like to point out that on yell, after we posted a negative review, five 5 star reviews were posted all on the same day!! I wonder who posted them?! The shop also allowed reviews on Facebook until a 1 star review was posted recently; since then all reviews have been removed. Now there is no option to review them. Comments left on their page giving them progress reports on the ill mice have also been deleted numerous times.

Incompetent, unethical & overpriced. Truly disgusting.
