Those are fantastic pictures NN, you have such a fantastic eye. The puffins are SO cute! Their legs are a lovely vibrant colour - didn't realise what lovely birds they are.

...and becoming endangered, apparently. Their numbers have dropped alarmingly. Lovely pictures, NN. Are puffins as tame as they say they are, so you can get close?

Thank you all so much for your kindness, they are the most cutest little birds I love to see them. I can not answer that CC as we were on top of the cliffs and you have to scan around to find them as they are below you at Bempton Cliffs. I would love to go to the Farne Islands to see them where you can get closer. Maybe next year

    HOLY SMOKE !!!! Amazing pictures.

    And - that cliff. Yikes.

So, you have Puffins in England? Why didn't I know that? I've never seen one in person.

Thank you Diane yes they are so endearing. I always wanted to see one and we went two years ago. I cried when I saw my first one as it was like a dream come true, we do try to go each year now as its always a nice day out, getting away from every thing and some good sea air. Mind you the smell can be a bit ripe in the heat but you soon get used to it and don't notice with the excitement of spotting them on the cliffs.

Never seen a puffin in real life - I wonder why their numbers are falling? Very sad.
