I was not watching when the earthquake hit the UK this morning..... but yesterday, Milly was acting agitated about something. She was running in and out from behind the place where the feeders are and flapping her wings and making circles and then the other hens came out and they were sort of nervous too. I thought maybe the wind was bothering them... so did not know that they might be feeling a tremor. I hope all is well in the UK and that no one was injured in the earthquake.

Only heard of one injury on the news - part of a chimney fell on someone but it wasn't a serious injury. Funniest one must've been a man who staggered home drunk, was kicked out by the wife so slept in his car. It was the only car in the street to be hit by falling bricks but he knew nothing about it til the firemen woke him to tell him!!

My cat was acting oddly yesterday - she's always a bit dipsy but was extra weird. Perhaps she was sensing it too.

I think I had the hencam on at that time, but my kitty Chelsea was the only one watching, as I was doing chores about that time. I don't think she'd tell me much if I ask her what happened. She's not much of a talker. Darn..all the good stuff happens while I'm away...pooh

Sounds as if Chelsea was the only one to see all the action then!

That's kind of wild. The hens are being tossed around in the coop - with one cat, in the United States, watching.

J-Lo the chick could; she'd flutter up onto the garden bench and then smirk as the others rushed around clucking madly, looking for her.

I have a little rooster that flies up at night to sleep in one of the tall fir trees by the chicken pen. He flies up about 30 feet high. It depends on the type of chickens you have. Most of them can fly a little way, but not very high off the ground. The heaver breeds don't even bother to try to get their fat bums moving that fast tho. I have a one legged chicken that gets around by half flying and half walking, she's one of the sweetest girls I have. She's 4 yrs. old now, she doesn't know she's a disabled chicken.

LOL Another GREAT example (previous 9 posts) of how we can meander so creatively from subject to loosely connected subject. Its an art. I'm serious - I do love it. :D

Ps. Kate! I'm currently using CC's method ("New Posts") to follow you around the forum :P
