I tried running once, but I'm a sprinter not a jogger and I hated it! I do intend to do something for my fitness this year - just need to get my stupid health problems sorted out first, and then try and get started. Might start easy with a DVD!

Those hens look like they own the house! Beautiful!

On the fitness thing i am 43 now and don't quite no how i got here to be honest in my mind i have only just left school!
I am not a compulsive fitness fanatic but as you get older your fitness becomes more apparent
and i don't like that so as i was always a good runner at school i have just carried it on it suites me my wife has tried it and just cannot do it so cycling is for her.

Sure is the older you get the more your balance goes I must get started on the walking though as There are several good places in Derbyshire that I would like to tackle this spring. My son and I did quite a few a couple of years back and it was real enjoyable.

I'm 45 and though I appear to be fit because I'm slim, in reality my fitness is very low so I have to start off slow. The doc found out I had severe anaemia in Oct which explained why I was so knackered all the time, but now its a case of trying to find out why, hence the scopes. I hate feeling ill but also hate being messed about with.

Hi Angel and welcome to hencam, thanks for your kind coment about the hen jumpers. I don't make them to sell I make them for the little hen rescue. I make you some in return for a donation to them they do real good work and rescue and rehome thousands of hens a year. Even the blind and disabled hens are looked after so every penny helps them with looking after them all.

Thanks everyone! It all came back as clear - I knew it would and that just made it all the more annoying that I had to go through it! Darn GP.

Worst part was definatly drinking the disgusting stuff they give you beforehand to 'prepare' the intestines!

Good news, Kate...but bad about having to go through it all, especially the 'preliminaries'! Still, you might have lost a few pounds!

I so wanted to walk out when I was sat waiting to be called into the endoscopy suite, but I'd have just had to go through it all again wouldn't I, so better to get it over and done with. I just kept reminding myself that hundreds of people go through it every week, so if they can, I can!

Oh poor Kate it is bad enough waiting for a bus let alone something like that. Thank goodness it is all over and done with now.

The downside (I'm a glass half-empty kinda girl!) is that the doc will still want to find the cause for my anaemia, but I'm going to tell him to leave me be for now - I want a rest from worrying about my health!

Kate. I'm glad all is well and as you say, perhaps a rest from stressing might help a bit too.

I have not put anything aobut my holiday on any thread yet.

    All is as well :-)

It was all disproved! Guinness does not have any medicinal properties over any other alchoholic stuff.
You will notice there are no claims along these lines now-a-days.

Has anyone tried th wine tonic that was on the news the other day from Buckfast Abbey, not sure if its been taken off the market now or not, seemed to be lots of teens up north that were drinking it and as it has alcohol and caffine in it it made everyone really buzzy althoguh a bit agressive I think.
