Well black pepper is really lovely on strawberries. It's so strange, but one flavour really enhances the other. i daresay Heston Blumenthal could explain it.

I've just looked up salt/pineapple on Google, and apparently the salt brings out the sweetness if the fruit isn't sweet enough. Thwere was also a recipe for salt-baked pineapple!

In Africa the young boys stand at the road side with pineapples like you've never seen! Massive, and only about 9 pence each! and soooo juicy.
Put me right off our tidgy things at a whopping pound each.

That's why pigs aren't allowed too much fruit...okay so that's really random :-\
I was reading the other day pigs aren't supposed to have too much fruit because of the acidity and fructose calories (or something or other) and yet i thought that's what they ate in the wild?

(oh geez sorry, that's really off-topic)

I love tangerines I think it started about 50 years ago when at Christmas I would hang a rather large sock washed of course at the bottom my bed next to the pillow case and on Christmas morning it would be filled with tangerines, various types of nuts, small chocolate sweets, silver coins. So that was my first introduction into tangerines.

What do you mean by the word 'ergo'?
I'm sure it means something else to me...
    Ollie saga coming up..
I had my work bag stolen from my car. I was a midwife, remember. My bag had drugs in it for the job.
Police found bag and when I went through it found only drugs and syringes were missing.
The police were hysterical with laughter when I explained that the drugs are to contract the womb! They could imagine the thieves with these violent tummy gripes. Not quite the kicks they had expected! I did wonder what part of the male anatomy would be affected.

Yes, ergo = therefore. But quicker to type...
I like the thought of the thieves having contractions! :D There was a story on LBC of a woman walking a dog for friends on Hampstead Heath, when it dropped dead of a heart attack. She couldn't think what to do (days before mobile telephones), so went home (a street away)for the only large bag she had - a Gucci one! - and went back for the dog. She was struggling home with it, when a kind man saw her problem and offered to carry it for her. They were nearly at her door when he suddenly took off down the street with it.
James O'Brien the presenter said that he would have given every penny in his bank account to have been present when the scrote opened the bag...

Don't think they'd appreciate that - especially when the weather goes cold again (probably Thursday!)

    Keeper of the hens

It depends what i'm doing...if i'm at school (and the school ALWAYS has the central heating on in summer without fail, and NEVER in winter) and i have to walk home afterwards, anything above 15*c is too hot. If i'm free to do what i want i don't really mind how hot it is...

Warmer the better. I am in the wrong country to my thinking but have never managed to break lose and get to live in warmer climes.

Is humidity when it feels like it's harder to breathe because the air feels all heavy, or is that lack of breeze or something else...? :)
