If you could possess any hen in the world what type would it be???
For me, I choose to go with the buff orpington because they are shy birds and are very large, I fall in love with any fat cute animal:D

A Silky hen. I should get one, but I've got so many chickens right now I don't have room for any more at the moment. Silkies are so much smaller than the hens I have now, I couldn't keep them together.

Millybobs, and Penny-hen and Tilly! Oh...and the cheepers of course

But other than them, a Sebright is my top choice, i think...but i like Japanese Bantams too. One or the other, never can decide :)

You can't have just one hen...

I'd like the space for a few birds. A couple of orpingtons (buff), a couple of some sort of cross breed from the RIRs (for the looks and lots of brown eggs). If we're talking best case scenario then a nice big field with room for a cockrel and something like a silkie to go broody.

Either case I'd get them as young pullets to get them nice and tame. Maybe day-olds if I'm wanting a mix of hens and cocks.

I realized too that it would be impossible to have just one hen. Instead one should have a collection of hens!!!

I use to raise dairy goats years ago..there is nothing they can't climb on...the hood of your car, the top of the garden shed, they just love playing "king of the mountain" and knocking each other off the high spots.

My Uncle's goats ate all the washing off the line, every thread.
Auntie was all for sending for the police, she thought they had been robbed.
We used all wood pegs that were like little dolls, (dolly-pegs)so they had eaten those too.

My dream hen would be about 3 feet tall (cos that would be a nice height to get down and hug)
It would lay 1 doz eggs (at least) a day
It would be ginger (predominantly) but also other colours in there too.
It would talk to me (and I would understand it)
I think i will stop there...
