Just wanted to say that it is much much better!!! The chickens now appear to be rather big, either they grown up or camera is closer or both! :)

hmm, chickens seem to be able to walk away from camera now :(

It seems to me that the biggest positive difference is in colour (and seems image quality is better too), maybe it would be worthwhile putting camera to the same angle as it had before? I think it was good angle.

    Keeper of the hens

The cam is a little lower down - we can't attach it to the netting like we could with the other because it is bigger and it's on a stand - which is why the chicks suddenly appear to be huge...it's propped on top of the cardboard box that the chicks like to sleep in, so it's about the same height as the rim of the paddling pool. We're still trying to work out a decent camera angle, anyone have any suggestions?!

We had the idea of putting it IN the paddling pool, but figured it would just get dirty and most likely end up face down in the shavings...

The cam is blue-tacked onto the netting, wedged into one of the squares now...means you should be able to see all the chicks brooder on cam (hopefully!) There might be times when you can't see much because the netting is pulled open so the chicks can come out and play...

Haha, just saw a chick wondering into the box and they can barely fit in anymore :D

It really is a nice angle now. I see one chick asleep in the dust bath pan. The others must be sleeping someplace else off camera.

    Keeper of the hens

We'll be stealing part of the rabbit hutch again, poor Domino!

This time we're gonna put it on the top bit of the garden instead of down with the big girls. When it was down there last time you couldn't get to the chicken's house to clean it out, and plus if the coop is on concrete then Mr Fox won't be able to dig under. We're gonna put some 'L' shaped netting down against the sides of the coop for more protection as well - can't have the fox getting any more chickens. My dad doesn't know any of this yet, but i don't think it really matters where the chick's coop is, and the netting won't be hard to do.

He's a man Red, you have to TELL him what to do, not ASK him!!!

I'm sure he'll appreciate that you've spent time thinking about it and saving him the bother. I notice he doesn't post on here lately - has he fell out with us?!!

Camera's slipped again. Those chicks are just getting far too rough. Don't they care that they keep realigning the cam?

Never mind at least we have the newspaper to read until Keeper of the Hens puts the world right for us. That is if we can decide which way up to read...

When do we get a new paper please?
This one is way out of date now and I have read the print off it.

Not seen a chick since early yesterday, made all that frustrating by hearing the big girls with their "Big Egg!Big Egg!" shouts.

All my prayers have been answered this morning. Thank you.
The camera is back on target viewing the chicks in their colourful home.
How much bigger they have grown in just one day of not seeing them!
