Best of the Day - My camera on Niagara Falls was suddenly attacked by a technician. It was one heck of a cam ride !!! Then after a clean up he reset the cam at an awful angle.
Couldn't see the boat landing any more but half the sky over the falls.
Sent a rapid emu to them and when I got back to viewing found the guy had looked at his screen and adjusted thecam to show even more of the boat landing than before. Superb...
Sent a rapid emu thanking them.

Now to get them to heavily prune those trees that are going to leaf up soon and block it all out.

    Keeper of the hens

The synoptic paper is where you get given a booklet to read a week before the exam, and you read it and make notes on it...I got mine yesterday, it's horrible. Funny story but written really boring-ly...about a woman married to a vicar who is an alcoholic and then goes off and has an affair because she isn't sure whether she believes in god or not  I don't know what else is in there apart from the 'dramatic story,' i haven't finished reading it yet :)

I don't like having my hair cut, it scares me. We found a really nice hairdresser so i'm not as bad as i used to be! I bet your hair looks fab, Kate...and i couldn't dye my hair myself either, i'd probably turn it orange :D

Actually i saw it advertised on a program about keeping pet dogs, that if you don't have time to walk a dog / it's too hot outside to walk a dog, putting them on a treadmill is the next best thing. I guess it's the same for cats, although it might be harder to keep them on as cats have a tendancy to do what they want... :)

The synoptic thing. In my world one way of looking at the situation with the Vicar and his wife is through the lens of what I'd call 'triangulation.' Its the concept that a dyad (the number two - as in a couple) is the most unstable number. So, if anything rocks the boat, one (or in this case both) of them will naturally seek to stabilize it by seeking a triangle (the number three.) So, an affair or an addiction, for instance. It the opposite of what it appears then. Rather than an attempt to create chaos, its an attempt to regain footing. Asleep yet?

Well done, Red! My best thing = finally locating a tyre for Arfur after I blew a tyre on a missing kerbstone. I was at Henley, Gary the AA man and I went all round Reading before finally finding one...in SLOUGH!!!Go on, ask me anything, ANYTHING about all the tyre centres in Reading. Particularly the ones who had a Smart tyre in the warehouse...but didn't have the key to the warehouse...:\

Don't they come with a spare? Should that be on the 'rant' thread?!

I've had Caitlyn ALL DAY - Danny brought her over at 7am and I took her back at half 8. Big impact on my internet surfing though! She was so good - wish my boys had been as pleasant as her when they were babies.

The rats are also disgruntled - they haven't been able to freerange today and now Foggy keeps trying to get in the room.

Ollie, my dad is BRIGHT RED on his face :o I put suncream on the back of his neck and told him to put some on his arms & face...guess what, he didn't :-\ It was a lovely sunset, wasn't it? Did everyone else get a nice one too?

Appearently suncream doesn't protect you from the suns rays. Another proven fact.:)

Really? It's full of carcinogens too...an all round good thing!

Well how come we put suncream on and we didn't burn but he did? Does it protect you visibly but you're body is still affected by the ultra-violet rays? Yack..

Yeah it will protect you from getting sunburnt but appearently you can still get cancer from going out in the sun if you have suncream on.

That's why the victorians used to cover themselves completely - they were a lot wiser than they're given credit for! Nothing protects us completely but some cream is better than no cream. Some have been proven not to be the factor they state too - some are higher, some lower. Why do trading standards let them get away with that?

And - I gave my middle nephew a goldfish puppet that is for wearing on one's head. He loved it. Put it on immediately. He's 15 now so, I wasn't sure how it would go over. It looks particularly attractive turned backwards. The tail looks like a shiny orange crown until you realize its fish bottom.

He looks v. attractive in that hat,Diane. Girls will fall at his feet if he wears it al the time.
    HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...
If there's no room in a Smart car for toilet rolls, there's no room for a spare tyre. Unfortunately the one(s) round my waist were of no use...

Best thing today: being able to sit at home in shorts and a vest top and just revise in the sun, without really having to move much at all.
