    Thank you everyone. :)

Cheeky is a pretty good description for the goat boys. They are still cuddly too though. Well, the goatie version of that. Ari climbed on my lap for awhile this morning.

I worked at that photo of Hakuin, Kate. Because he is so much lighter in color than the other two, it is hard to get a photo of him where his beautiful colors truly show. So, I just focused on him that day. For Merlin, the wonderful dark gold color of his eyes is hard to capture (and I didn't in that photo - but I just liked his expression.)

oh Diane what wonderful pictures I love the goats in their nest its so cute to see them cuddled up in there. I seem to remember that goats Quite like to huddle up, But its been years since I had much to do with them so could be wrong. That cloud formation is something else a lovely capture, I must admit I like clouds and taught Mallory to look for shapes in them, so its quite nice when she suddenly spots a rabbit or such and runs in so excited to show me. Wonderful picture of Hakuin I love it and the kitties are growing up so quick and are so adorable. You sure live in a beautiful place it all looks so tranquil. Thanks for sharing you know I love your photos xxxx

Hi NN - Thank you for your comments. YES, goats love to curl up together. They are very very social animals. The cloud formation looked like the Greek symbol Pi to me! Whidbey Island is truly beautiful. Which means summer is a time where the tourists outnumber us. And, we have a mutual love of each other's photos!

    Keeper of the hens

We had a lovely day with my parents today ^_^

Me, Lyle & Finley walked to the pub & met them there. We ate, hung about, my dad fawned over Finley, then we dropped him off at home and drove to the farm show! Because we got there quite late we had to whizz around & missed a few things, but we still hot to check out food tents, craft tents, and we saw the poultry, budgies & most the sheep! Quite a few of the sheep were super curious about my chair, so I wheeled it right by all the pens so they could check it out if they wanted!!

After we came back to our house & had a BBQ (: I was feeling super poorly by this point, but it was nice to have a proper day of activities despite the fallout!! We have a friend coming to stay a few night's tomorrow, but not until 9pm , so I have an entire day to rest up :tooth:

I wish you hadn't said that about sheep making lovely pets, NN. LOL. My mind went immediately to ... hmmm, I might just have room for one here, with the goat boys...

We have a permanent little farm grounds here in Langley, with a fulled fledged old-time fair (old time meaning pioneer days, not medieval ;) in late July. I missed going this year. Usually I work a shift selling baked potatoes at the Democrat's booth but didn't do that this year and then totally forgot to go. Lots of my friends had arts and crafts or animals on display so I feel sorry I missed that. Your photos were sweet to see.

In regard to your bird/tv landings - I LOVE that you take photos of it. I would be right there with you, doing that. Hoping you make a whole collection.

    Keeper of the hens

A new baby. We collected this little love yesterday, he's about 6 months old. He has various medical issues (heart & joint) & I'm 80% sure he has a URI...it's in the early stages so I'm crossing my fingers he'll make a full recovery. Hopefully the vets can squeeze him in tomorrow...

He's SO SASSY!!! He has such a big personality & within 24hrs he's already really bonded with me...I can only imagine what he'll be like when he's dwelling better :heartsabove:

lovely hats Red well done they will sure keep you cosy in the colder months to come. I can not see your knitting loom size but do know that you can get a sock sized one. Might be an idea for cosy toes and nice Xmas gifts. I am hoping to make a start on my Christmas goodies this coming week if I can find the get up and go to make a start !!

    Keeper of the hens

CC he took so long to name but we finally settled on Morty  He's been to the vets & we have no nasty surprises, he's on baytril for a URI which we knew about (vet said it was so mild she wouldn't have noticed it & was amazed we had!!) & he has a heart issue, which we also knew about. He has the most amazing personality, he's such a love...he spends a good deal of time snuggled on my shoulder chatting to me :rolling: He's super confident with the other animals too! The birbs go visit him quite often, which I think is hilarious :tooth:

Thanks NN!! I have a pretty small loom (I have 4 in various sizes) but I'm not sure it's sock size - I tried to make fingerless gloves on it today as the internet said it was the right sized loom, but they only fit Lyle :tooth:

I have upped my hat game though! The orange, white & yellow one is Halloween themed, you know the candy corn sweets they have in America?!

What are you going to be making for Christmas, NN?

awe he is a sweet piggie I have always loved them. We have had many over the years and they are usually so contented and peaceful. I never had an indoor one though. The hats are lovely. and gloves sound really cool. Experiment with different weight yarns Its usually thicker the yarn bigger the hat or sock. I haven't fully made up my mind on what to make this year Red. I been having a anti knit/ crochet time of it of late, but I got to snap out of it as I have loads of yarn to use. I might have a go at some fingerless gloves for Vibecke as she does night work and gets so cold, they turn the heating down on the wards night time. Thanks for the idea although I will use knitting needles instead of a loom. I got a knitted blanket on the go and a crochet one, but neither have inspired me very much. I need to get them done and get myself sorted out ha ha

The long hat reminds me of thr Rocket ice lollies we used to get! Fingerless gloves are brilliant; I always use them every winter when I play the organ in the older churches where the heating is a bit iffy.:face-smile:

He's fab NN, I think even my dad would like him, & he isn't a fan of guinea pigs :tooth:

CC the long rainbow-y one is the colours of the pride flag! I made something epic today; experimented with my first item with leg holes & made a cat jumper!!! It's a little big currently, but this sprog (hopeful foster fail!) will fit it in no time :tooth:

And because I know you all love cats, you crazy people (:winkkiss:), here are some extra photos of Derghan! He's 13 weeks old & been with us just over a week now. He'd had three homes already with people who just handed him on when they got bored. He's extremely confident & affectionate despite being swapped about so much. We began fostering him, & said we would keep him if everybody else in the house accepted him, which everybody has! Po (our special boy) has been SO good with him!

This was his & Po's first unrestrained meet:

Here's a video of him with wool on his head :rolling:

He's beautiful!! Glad he's settled in so well and everyone is happy with him. If you contact your local Cats Protection Branch they might have some neutering vouchers for when he's ready!

Awe such a cute little kitty and well done on his jumper and mastering the leg holes that's a huge step forward. Its amazing what you can make on the looms once you get to grips with them.

The black stray that I took to rehoming (Binx) has been reserved! Hopefully he's off to his new home this week having spent less than a month there! I'm so pleased for him, he deserves to have a nice home with people that will love him.

I only like him because he's more dog than cat CC :tooth: He's a little spitfire, but stupid affectionate too...wish I had the energy to train him a few tricks, he'd pick then up so quickly!

Also enjoy some photos of me & Lyle looking like normal people having time out the house...definitely worth the fallout & worsening of symptoms for days afterwards (:

    Keeper of the hens

I received a big donation, in return for hats for a US friend's children, & it meant I was able to buy off road wheels for my chair!!! :heartsabove: Thanks to this I'm now able to go through forests, along the canal etc...total game change, I'm absolutely over the moon! I don't have the energy to manage significant walks very often even with my wheelchair, but before yesterday it wasn't even an option to go to these places at all so it feels awesome!

And the second pic is a hat I knitted for my dad for his birthday ^_^

Derghan is so puppy-like, he's hilarious. We treat him like a dog, & as a result he enjoys things that your typical cat wouldn't...play fighting (but not cat-style, like proper shoving & ragging!!), tag, rough belly rubs, being cuddled/held upside-down - love him :tooth:

Also Po has THE FUNNIEST facial expressions :rolling:
