I slid down the first bit of our road, luckily slowed down and regained control for the bend before the wall (last year a couple weren't so unlucky and knocked the wall over), then had to turn around from going over the tops as the road just disappeared under thick slush/ice/snow.

Down The 'Twines it was ok but cars had been abandoned on both sides earlier so it was one shared lane - not the best!

Some people had no problem at all getting in, and some like Tim took 3 hours!

It's attached half way up our tree, hence the swaying...

I was intending to fit it to our study window as that is another floor up and has really nice views across St Ives but there's no easy way of attaching the cam up there.

I like the view though from where it is now, it's looking across Wilsden towards Harden.

Remember to write on exactly who with dates on your new pictures too.

My Mum had to throw out a vast amount as she had no idea who they were. It made her sad but they all looked so alike through generations that it was impossible to sort out.

Here's one of my Great-Great-Great Grandfather, Wesley Harnsperger (Born 1808 in Ohio, Died 1896, Ashland,Nebraska). Date of photo unknown, probably 1880s/1890s.

I made a snow chicken last year and was holding it near the fence to show the hens next door when its head fell off. I thought they might end up scarred for life but actually they didn't seem bothered. Obviously they didn't think it looked like a chicken. Pesky art critic hens.

Is the bobble Polish chicken coloured?
Actually, I found photos on the internet of Polish chickens dyed in bright colours. I felt rather sorry for them - they probably didn't recognise each other! (I think I typed in 'pretty chickens' on google image search.)

Bah, you should have seen my old one, that's nothing!
It's because it's an electric toothbrush but i never re-charge it, and also it gets used on my plastic retainers...which i don't even need to wear anymore but still do :-\

It looks a bit like one of those fibre-optic thingies they sell at bonfires, but without the pretty coloured pinpoints of light.

    Yeah it does! :D

I was going to use it for a 'guess what this is' photo competition, where you only take photos of part of an object, or an extremely close-up photo.

Some amazing pics of what it is like to live in halls at uni:

    burnt?
My friend left this garlic baguette in the oven for over three hours. Everyone else was in bed and so didn't smell it, and we'd all gone over to X Block for a few hours...he completely forgot about it!!

    burnt!
We could smell the block from outside but thought it was coming from somewhere else - went inside and it STANK!! Surprised the smoke alarms didn't go off, we were lucky!
