Thanks frogdust :) Wow, that's a tall family!!

My dad's fairly tall at 6 foot 2 (round and about) and my mum's very small at 5ft!! So yes, it's quite amusing...i'm pretty much slap bang in the middle at 5 foot 5 and a half :D

Haha! Needless to say the guy didn't eat the baguette, we just threw it away - damn CC, wish we'd have thought of that ;)

I think it had to due with her face - although not puggish, its was decidedly flatter than any of the other cats I'd had (Putz von Meyer was a black Saimese, Little One was a Maine Coon also I think and Tabitha was a Torti).

Well Little One was a girl and mostly fluff. Very sweet kitty.

Pug was... a little more vicious... for years we had to keep Tabitha (the elder) and Pug apart as Pug would attack Tabitha without provocation, and she (Tabitha)wasn't much of a fighter.

    You have lovely hands Red.

My Mum used to hold her elegant hands in 'poses' all the time and it made me aware.
She had lovely long fingers and strong nails, which I didn't inherit but passed on to my daughter.

    You could...

but it would involve taking the existing cam wire which currently goes through our wall and is sealed with waterproof sealant, to be ripped out and fed through the living room, up the stairs, across the landing and into Scarlet's room.

    So no. ;)

I could fit a cam on the PC upstairs but then you'd have 2 PC's eating electricity all the time, etc etc etc. And the fact that during the day he's snug hiding in his cork caves, and at night probably doesn't come out all that much either, and it's not worth the effort.

Although I do want to shoot some 3D pics and movies of him when we next have him out...

The koala is delightful in the further away photos but a little bit scary in the closer photos, kind of like a cuddly toy with creepy long black gloves on. If I found it staring at me from my sink like that I'd probably have nightmares. (Is the fur on its arms wet and therefore darker, or do they really have such black arms?)

Poor thing - I'm glad it found some relief from the heat. I think its arms are darker because they're wet! He's had them in the bowl.

Koalas are nor considered too aggressive an animal here in Oz unless you try to catch them or hurt them and we ceratianly dont eat 'em. They do have long sharp claws but are actually quite docile.
His widdle paws and arms are dark due to being wet.
He would have been left to have his drink then wander back into the bush when he was ready.

We have been to a wildlife park nearby and they have a koala hospital for the ones that get injured or misplaced in the bush fires. You can actually pat them while the ranger holds them, dear little things, they are rehabilitaed then released back to the bush.

However the two national emblems the kangaroo and emu are regularly served up here but I don't and couldn't eat those.

Jonny, Jethro Clampett and Grandma ahhh I remember them well, used to watch it regular like, remember the song!!!
'Listen to a story 'bout a man named Jed
poor mountaineer but he kept his family fed'
    etc etc..

    Dust bathing yesterday
They were having a wonderful time! All three are in their second year and have recently started laying again. Near to far: Barbara, Margot, Geraldine.

You'd think being a single parent with 3 year old twins, a springer, a cat, four chickens a job and a house to run I wouldn't be stupid enough to take on any more work but couldn't resist I only went to look - it was fatal, he had to come home with mummy!

I an with Red.. I too am not shure if the koala is creepy or the sweetest thing. It was cute that it came to your porch to drink and cool off . i think I was put off by the claws but its face was sweet,

Sally .... the puppy is so sweet ! My favorite pic of him is when he is climbing in the door! he is tiny if he has to struggle to get in the door . Just wait in 6 monthes he will be much bigger !
YOUR SPRINGER IS A BEAUTIFUL DOG! oh you childeren are lovely too! I did not want to leave them out .

Goosgog..... you chicky birds are very pretty. that is a very nice pic of them and thier lovely bright eyes.

Barbara, Margot and Geraldine are lovely, Goosegog. I like watching chickens dust bathe. They take it so seriously. I saw my neighbours' hen teaching her tiny chicks to dust bathe last year.

That puppy is marvellous, Sally. Has he met your chickens yet?

I think the hen is drawn on Red's sling, Froggie...I don't know what the merkin for 'sling' is, but it's the triangular bandage that supports an injured arm! :)

Lovely pics of Milly Red. Whats this about a sling?? Did you do yourself an injury ??

I was at a friends place today visiting his chooks, so I took a pic through the window.....
    Photobucket

Then I went outside and managed to tame two of them, picking them up for cuddles. As I was crouching, tempting one to come near, another promptly jumped up onto my back....
    Photobucket

And it was happy to stay there for some time, even as I attempted to stand up....

    Keeper of the hens

When Milly was younger (mine not yours ;) ) and still chick-sized she used to love sleeping on my shoulder whilst i pootled round doing whatever i had to do...this came to a head when she pooped in her sleep and, yes Diane i'm afriad to say, it was a RUNNY POO!

Most disgusting thing ever, went from my shoulder right the way down! You should have seen mum's face when i shuffled into the kitchen and said "Mum, i think my jacket needs washing..." :rolling:
