Ha Red you will have to fit a flashing light on his head and a slip devise to his shoes as soon as the devise detects a slip the light starts to flash and you are out of there so he can then fall on his own and you can laugh :rolling: but if you really love each other you can go down together i much prefer that!!:twosome:

Leevaux, I have what is called 'finger-dyslexia' and yes, my car does things on it's own :-) It is trained to drive from MK to Biggleswade without any driver intervention.

Rant for to-day : can't think of one. If someone can tell me where I left my brain, I'd have a look in it and then decide. :-)

I have one computer on !Discussions" and the other on "New Posts" to see how integrated they are.
I find if I stay on New Posts I miss some of the posts- and - vice versa.
However you all decided to zoom off to your Saturday night jollies - so I will have to have another go some other time....

Ok big rant, have been battling serious neck pain now for nearly a month, very little relief until past 2/3 days, so haven't been on here much then I fell off our back deck on Sunday (PRIOR to the bbq and any alcohol consumption CC) and shook myself up no end THEN yesterday I had nasty fall in bathroom, (I have balance issues) bent leg under and landed on coccyx. Have torn a ligament at inner side of knee and bruised my bum so not happy chappy. Being a buxom wench I landed like a ton of bricks. Brian was indoors in a flash and the look on his face.............I can laugh now but boy am I sore. So have a nice bandage on knee, lots of ice (not easy to ice ones rear!!!) and back to physio on Monday. BUGGER BUGGER @#$!&% feel like such a fool, there goes the tap dancing for this week.:frog3:

Thanks 'gels', still sore and bruised but in good spirits. I agree acupuncture is great. Nothing like a few needles to get you going for the day!

About Bowen therapy, an intersting bit of info for you. It was started by Tom Bowen right here in Geelong. He was a dear family friend for many years, a close buddy of my dads so we saw him often.

Unfortunately a heavy drinker and towrds end had to have lower leg amputated BUT he treated so many people, and disabaled or crippled too and helped an aunt of mine who couldnt have children and by his technique she was able to. He performed miracles. My son was born with a doslocated hip which doctors missed and he still wasn't walking at 18mths, just scooting on bottom, Tom treated him and next day Shane walked.

His rooms had photos everywhere of those he helped. He was a gentle and kind soul and we loved him, it is wonderful to think his knowledge has been spread world wide. I remember the days when doctors looked down their noses at such things.

Up until now we've always done a full water change when cleaning the tank weekly (apart from one bowl which the fish are kept in, with the water they're used to, and then they get tipped back into the newly clean tank with that). We make sure the new clean water is at the same temperature and add crystals to get rid of chlorine and other nasties in the water...oh, and aquarium salt.

So anyway, that is how we have cleaned them, and the tank has always looked nice, never smelt etc. We've read lots of times that you shouldn't do this and should only do partial water change, and when we asked for advice from one of the vets at P@H they agreed and explained how to carry one out. Full water changes can get rid of good bacteria as well as the bad, and the difference can shock and stress the fish.

Every few days we have been doing partial water changes, but by god their water is SO horrifying now! To the extent that we carried out a water change today, the way they said, and it is still so murky you can't see the fish!! It's like it's snowing in there!!!

And Wart is acting so unhappy, just sat at the top of the tank until you take the lid off or some such thing and then he'll swim about before quitting again...But yes, he is a very dirty fish so it could be his fault :-\
    :D

My dad's going to bring us a vacuum thing up at the weekend i think, to suck a lot of the pooey bits from the gravel to see if that'll help...

    Today's rant -
Had a phone call this morning from Hoover office to say my repair man was coming today (as I had arranged last week).
He couldn't say what time my mechanic would arrive... but "How would I like to Pay?"
He was more concerned over getting his money than giving me more useful service informaton.
The mechanic had known yesterday his schedule so the office must have had that info available. Or don't the different departments talk to each other?
This is third time this machine part has failed since I got it 16 months ago. Not good enough in my books, in fact VERY bad!
    Rant over.

My son's machine broke down one month out of warrenty. He tried to get someone out to look at it and arranged for someone to come. He got a call the day before saying that engineer couldn't make it so someone else could come, but it would be £20 more. They wanted £90 paid up front 24hrs before the man was due. consequently I'm still doing their washing!!!!!!!

Can we name names Kate? Or is that too risky? Don't want to get Neil into bother but then again as we are telling the truth then it shouldn't be a problem.

I have a tame wash machine mechanic that I use for non-warranty stuff. He's getting on a bit and needs a chair the moment he arrives - just hoping he'll outlast me!

I was going to say who I thought it was, but then decided I'd better check with him first - don't want to give someone a bad name if its not them! I don't think the washing machine was particularly bad, I think they were heavy handed with it. Never heard of the seal coming out before!

I was so annoyed as I managed to loose the second diamond from my engagement ring sometime over the weekend. I lost the first one last year but found it when I was cleaning out the saucepan cupboard. I think I lost this one in the garden. It looked real sad with no diamonds in it and as I could not get it off, I had it cut off on Monday.
