Okay - don't disappoint me now you guys. I'm busy cleaning up the house. Looks like I'll have to put a few tents up in the yard...

But really, if there is going to be a Murder Mystery Weekend UK - don't you think it would be best to come over next August and STUDY this one? :D

Each you must now make yourself a chicken outfit to wear :milly_hen: while sleuthing.

To make a chicken outfit, silly. But 2 and a half frizzle bantams might not yield enough to cover a fat bint...

Too inexperienced, Ace. You need to SEE ONE first. Meanwhile, CC focuses on trying to drown us all and call it FAIR.

Talking of money - you will be almost two pounds to the dollar when you visit!

    Keeper of the hens

Wait until moulting season, then go on a chicken crawl round all the nearby farms and collect the chicken feathers...although they might be a bit dirty. Plus, how would you make a costume out of 'em?

Holly & I found the twins today! (Had to go below the dock to see it.) My camera and arm won't reach far enough to capture them in their hiding place, so I thought they'd gone... What do you think of the hair do?

I think this photo shows an egg that didn't hatch. And it also shows you the remains of dinner that all the bigger baby doves have been getting. LOTS of crabs and star fish under the nests these days. (That oval thing, which I assume is an egg, is about 8 feet above the crabs.)
    Photobucket

This is a shot of where the dove parents go for fresh water. Its a drain pipe with run off from the cliff above.

More likely find dead ones or discarded bits, I'd've thought.
And there's quite enough detail, Diane, ta...I just think very baby birds are uggerley until they get their down! :D Perhaps that's why I never took to baby humans - not enough fur.

I'm beginning to think they actually catch them - since it is hard to believe there are this many just laying around... On the other hand, I have never seen a dove carrying one. Its a mystery.

Yes, he was just a day or two old, he still had his 'egg tooth.' That's why i was so worried about handing him over...we never heard anything back from them. No news is good news...?

The dove twins were hanging out on the edge and wondering what its like to fly today. When Holly and I went down to the lower dock and looked up at them - Ma Dove showed up and glared at us. (That would be the little angry feathered covered being to the right. If I had a better camera you could look into that terrible red-orange eye, as we did...)
    Photobucket

I took a few more shots anyway. Including this closeup of the twin who seems like the younger one to me.
