Hoping the rain holds off long enough for me to get the rat cage in the garden and give it a good 'ole scrubbing!! Then the ice rink in the late afternoon/early evening to watch eldest play. Hopefully nothing on Sunday - I LOVE days where I don't HAVE to do anything.

Oh, I've also got all the assorted household tasks to fit in - washing, ironing, cleaning the cooker and bathrooms, vacuuming blah blah blah boring boring boring! :beaker:  :fierce:

    Can't drive?

Hmmm. This weekend. Well, its just about half over for those of us in Washington. It was 90 degrees today. I went to Langley. Parked at the Post Office and walked to the Island County Fair grounds. (The longest 10 minutes of my life in quite awhile.) At the fair I hung out with friends and held up a clip board saying: Register to Vote Here. No one did today and it cost me $7 to get in to the fair. Later Holly and I went for a walk :)

Well my lazy saturday plans went awry; early morning call from a vicar in search of an emergency organist. So I donned the purple cape, fixed the purple flashing light to the top of the car and took off for Turville. is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's emergency Organist!!

My weekend looks a bit bleak at the moment.
My tv has lost its' sound. Doesn't change channel unless I jiggle the 'AV's when it turns an awful yellow but lets me change channel as long as I get it right...
Maybe I will get some housework done, even though I don't watch much tv anyway. There is Hencam and all the other fantastic stuff on my pooter. Glad that isn't giving trouble.

I cut the back hedge and it has finnished all wonky. I cried. Hubby used to get it so straight....

    Am I depressed????
Where the depressed consultant??? Tho' she looks in a bit of a state anyway by the look of it.!

Ahh of course, I forgot. :sun: A "Timmies" is a coffee from one of our beloved Canadian institutions - Tim Horton's Coffee. I have what is called a "Large Double-Double" - large coffee with double cream and double sugar. Its more of a blue-collar, hard-working coffee place as opposed to "Second Cup", which our American contingent will know of. I prefer to pay $1.45 instead of $3-$5 dollars for a coffee.

Any ways enough of the Canadian coffee-house industry.

Off to my therapy session (thanks CC - I like that one)!

I cleaned the rat cage - scrubbed and scrubbed. My fingers are soooo sore, but that was from putting all the bits back in! Then I went to the garden centre for more potty litter, looked at the chickens but only for a few seconds - hubby gets huffy if I take too long. Paid at the till and hubby dropped the new rat dish I'd bought. The staff were lovely "don't worry" they said "just go get another one". It was only £1.29 but that was a nice thing to do.

Have done some washing and tidying and spent ages on the pooter already. Don't know where the day goes. Hubby takes up most of it with his "I'm bored" moans, and "I'm hungry" ones too. Grr. Need to play with rats but might let them settle in for today. They HATE a clean cage.

Oh, I also put the blind up on my velux window in the bathroom. The ads on TV show them clipping it in place and ready to go. DON'T BELIEVE IT! It took me half an hour adding little plastic bits here and clipping metal bits there. Looks lovely now though!

A hatrick is 3 goals in a game (6 would be a double hatrick). Apparently 3 goals from 3 consecutive shots in one shift is termed a 'natural hatrick'. Extremely rare as its so difficult. Danny did it once as a junior against our closest rival team when his dad was coaching him. They were both proud as punch! This was 'just' 3 goals in the game.

S'ok, I can merely point to the huge stain on our living room carpet and hopefully she'll get the message and feel guilty enough to look after the tent :D

Sorry! Well when we leave Scarlet she is allowed mates over and parties as she's sensible enough (has been for years bless her!), anyway we moved the sofa in January and uncovered a large booze-stain on the carpet (lucky it's a nasty old one).

After interrogation asking her what happened, the whole incident still remains a mystery and the exact circumstances regarding the spillage are unknown, but someone spilt it and the proof is in our carpet! No amount of scrubbing would remove it so it's now a 'feature' of the room!

I think it may have been the punch we made, which had a bit of all sorts bunged in. It was very nice though.

I tried all sorts to get the stain up, and nothing worked. My dad scrubbed it for over an hour when he discovered it, and it's still there...

Well the thought has crossed my mind, she did wonder why I was discussing our carpet stains on here...

I'll get a picture of it and we'll have a "what type of stain is this?" competition. ;)

I think what was worse was that it had been allowed to dry for several weeks (we move the sofa round so the xmas tree can go in the corner over Christmas, so it wasn't until we took it all down and moved it back that we saw the offending stain)

It is supposed to be the "what are you doing this weekend thread", but i don't think that Red is planning another spillage of alcohol on the carpet again!

My friend has a trailer when camping that all the stuff goes in. There's carpet and a plastic chandelier in it, and she and Roy sit in there to eat; they get a lot of attention! :D
