Hopefully you can get to see this in person, it's very impressive!

If you text / ring when you are almost(ish) at Keele, i will let you know where I am meeting you and how to get there. Am thinking maybe we could meet at the Sneyd pub and we can walk to E Block first, that's if i can direct you to it :D

'Vandalising dorm doorways'? That's quite clearly a photo of a new E Block art installation, which should be left there as it enriches the cultural experience of living in E Block. Or something.

I showed Ace round the campus, we went for a walk in the woods and during our walk saw some students having a BBQ...so we decided to randomly have one :P

Went to Newcastle to pick up food and disposable BBQ, only to find that both Sainsbury's and Morrisons closed at 4pm. In desperation we went to a petrol station, where they sold the BBQ's (hurrah!) and then was able to buy food from the store on campus.

We walked back and started a BBQ outside E Block in the grassy bit. It was brill, and luckily Security didn't come along and gate crash as BBQ's are not quite allowed on campus...

Add a bit of card on the wall with an impressive sounding title for your 'kinetic artwork' next time - might stall the cleaners for a bit while they check with the Uni whether it's all supposed to be in the corridor or not.

    Good memory CC

    It's called indoctrination, cherub.

    A) Because hair not tied back is untidy and hoydenish (go and look it up - we had to!) and a danger in the laboratory and/or domestic science rooms and/or on the games field. (Although we never heard of anyone dying/injured/scarred from going w/o hair bands/ribbons in the aforementioned places).

    B) Because it's common courtesy to your elders and betters. Although we had a point of view on some of the staff being our 'betters'!

This weekend i have to go see my little cousins up in Newcastle for Easter  Been crazy here at the moment, mum not at home so been travelling between houses during the day, builders at home so getting woke up at 8am (OUCH!!)...i thought we'd get a weekend to chill and let everything calm down, but we gotta go to Newcastle!

Poor Milly, haven't had chance for a good long snuggle yet. We had a cuddle for 10 mins or so today, but then the builder disrupted us asking for some tools, and just as Milly had settled back on my lap they brought a ladder into the garden and she fled :-\

    Good one CC!

Caitlyn is 15 months old. Every minute I'm with her I am amazed. I can't remember my own sons doing all the things she does, but they must have. She didn't go to bed til 11.45pm (she was W I D E awake!!), woke at 4am, I gave up trying to get her back to sleep in her cot at 5am and put her in with us. She slept horizontally til I woke her at 9am. I hardly got a wink of sleep, but she's worth it.

It must be awful NN to have your family so far away. Every time I see them I remember how lucky I am that they are so close.

Becky is really good and sends pictures and little video clips so we don't miss out too much. She is a lovely girl and we are so lucky having her as a daughter in law. I would rather they were together in Germany than Tim away in Iraq or afghanistan again.

Ha ha we do to many things at once, multitasking I think they call it nowadays. I boiled the potaoes dry on Thursday and didn't notice straight away, I was so annoyed at myself. A bit of biological washing powder into the pan with some water soak over night and hey presto one pan fixed a treat. As for the spuds I took the best ones out and mashed them they were ok as well. Pheww what a kerfuffle at the time.

I reckon 'terrificly' will do after a bottle of pinot, cherub! :drinkparty:
But it's NOT cheating; it is a perfect model of time and motion efficiency and nobody has to eat my cooking. Everybody wins...:D

:cool:party went well. I did not dare to have candles on my birthday cake. far too many and it might have the boys in rubber over to put the fire out.

If I can figure out how to download photos from my camera and put them on here, then you migth get to see some. :-)
all depends on how much help I might be given.

Ma still poorly, prognosis not good. 6/12 months without the heart-valve replacement and a lot lot longer with the Op. The Op. carries significant risks too. So, a lot of thinking to be done by Mum and by us all.
So, my focus in now on my Mum before I worry over anything else.

A bit of a bitter-sweet birthday in many many ways. Still, lesson learnt and I will never trust anyone ever again, then I can't get hurt. Simple.

Thank you both. It was a hard one to do but had to be done.
Strange, isn't it, that you feel you know someone inside out and then you find that you don't.
CC, I know I will deal with this better, just that yesterday was a very wobbly day. I guess the chat with Mum's consultant and the seriousness of Mum's condition hit me harder yesterday and what with every thing else that is happening.....I was well ready to be certified because I just could not stop feeling sorry for poor 'ole Me. :help:
Had a long pep talk from one of my good friends yesterday, not that it fixed anything but it just gave me more courage to go on and to not throw the towel in.

Come on girl we are all here for you, you can not afford to get low in spirits at the moment. If your Mum see's you all depressed and sad she will get to worrying and not concentrate on getting herself well. I know how hard it is but you can do it. Together we are all strong. Big hugs and love to you xx

A bit of positive news....my Mother is giving the heart valve replacement option a bit of consideration rather then just dismissing it. Strange where help comes from....there is a lady in her ward who has had 2 lots of heart valve replacements and she has bene talking to Mum and my Ma has actually been listening and taking the advice.

True CC...true. Ma thinks I need looking after and not the other way round. She still thinks that I can't wipe my own nose. :-)

One of the reasons she gave me yesterday for not wanting to go for the Op. was because it would be too much driving for me because she woud be in John Radcliffe in Oxford and it was a long way form Milton Keynes and she was aware how much rushing around I was already doing.....I tell you...My Ma comes up with the strangest of reasons at times.

I know she does not like being a burden to anyone. How do I explain to her that it is not a burden and I'd physically carry my Mum there if it was going to give her more years on this earth and give her quality of life.

Little does she realise that running about and worrying for her is keeping me sane right now. :-)

The men is white coats are hovering nearby most of the time.

Weekend just gone...Saturday, I went to Castle Combe for the Classic Cars Rally. Did not go on the track though. I thought I did well just to get the MX5 out and drive to Burford, to meet the rest of the car club friends and then to drive to Castle Combe. Had a good day although I worried about the MX5 breaking down on me all day. I'm the world's best worrier.

I had company and I think that is why I managed it, otherwise I'd have just given up and sat in the house and howled again.........

Still, I believe it is the start of me relying only on me and no one else. At least I have only me to blame if I screw up.

I've been to Tatton and Malvern but there haven't been enough seats booked last two years for the bus company to go ahead. So I booked into the first available to give time to get onto another if required.
Anyway I am all go for Brum now.
I really enjoy the travel too.

I don't think Kate would be very pleased with a bus full of gardening folks turning up for a cuppa!

I'll give her a wave if we go down her street.
