Hello everyone...can't believe i'm up this early *groans*

Thank you for all your messages

I have arrived and it's great! (apart from the fact that i can't get a bike storage key so my bike is chained to the railing outside our block, and could be removed by cleaners :D ) Met lots of new people, and we've also adopted a girl from F block into ours (E) because nobody in her block talks to each other!

We have a meeting to go to today at 4pm, but until then we can do what we like...gonna have a wander round campus and see what we can find! My room is lovely, and i have plastered the walls with photos :001_smile:

Keele is one Uni I haven't visited so can't visualise you walking round the campus.
We will expect long and involved reports from you at frequent intervals. (Then you cut and paste them out to your non-Hencam friends). :sun:

    We have two more now!!!

Also, we have become known as the "Ewoks" now (Star Wars fans will understand ;) ) - we live in E Block which, after a few drinks, starts to sound like Ewok, so... :D

WikipediaEwoks are a fictional species of teddy bear-like hunter-gatherers that inhabit the forest moon of Endor. They first appeared in the film Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983). They have since featured in two made-for-television films, Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, as well as an animated series and several books and games.

Years ago, before it was a mainstream thing, my dad was experimenting with tiny solar panels. He wired two little red lights to a couple of them, made himself a costume very like the one in your picture Neil, and put the lights in front of his eyes (with some thin black gauze over them.) VERY freaky!!

One Halloween I wore a cowl-neck jumper and put a green glowing lightstick in it. This cast a ghastly green light on my face from below. Some brats came to the door begging, so I pulled back the curtain...and the little b*ggers ran for their lives. Most satisfactory.

'fraid there isn't one this year (first time in years!) - as Scarlet isn't about it's cancelled.

I'm pretty sure there will be lots of random parents with kids turning up to see what amazing display we have this year but I'm afraid it won't be there, unless I get one of the coffins out of the shed and just set a little bit up outside...

My hubby told my son's ex-girlfriend that a couple of years ago. She used to brag that she never got hangovers. He said it was because she was a teenager but as soon as she hit 20 so would the hangovers ('hit' that is). I think it was psychological imprinting, because a few weeks later she went out to celebrate being 20 and had the most horrendous hangover afterwards and everytime she drank after that!!!

So were you born in '64 or '65? I like the number 9. (sounds like an episode of sesame street!)

I think I'm a little late for this forum but good luck red!!! I'm sure with your springrighty personality you will have a wonderful time in college. I think people say that the four years of college is the best times of one's like (or was it the four years of highschool?:|) either way, collegelife must be amusing. please send us funny stories of your life in the dorm room!

Oh Jonny, even as a midwife I have only come across one Blue Baby and that was a litle girl a few doors down the road. She didn't survive the surgery though.

    E BLOCK!
Okay, see the guy at the back with the blond hair (slightly scary looking ;) )?

The other night we drew a moustache, sideburns and beard on his face in permanent marker...and it's still there now! He's been to lectures like that too :D
Not sure if you can make it out in the pic?

nooo Ace, not to E Block but all the other blocks!! They already dislike us, we have a reputation as being the 'noisy' block

    E Block!
Look what happened to F Block last night...

We stuck some paper up (with sticky tape, so it didn't cause any damage or anything) and changed their F to an E. Was very amusing, we also got C and L Blocks too :D

Yep, we're the naughty block. People refuse to let us into their blocks, they shook their heads and turned away :P

I just got an email from the police saying they are posting cardboard hands through open windows (ie student rooms) to illustrate how easy it would be for thieves to steal your possessions...we've been wondering why there were cardboard hands everywher for a few days now :rolling:
