well at least she is an interesting Rabbit and isn't scared to try new things. I was thinking of getting a rabbit or two, but it is their digging that would worry me as two of my neighbours have dogs. Knowing my luck the rabbit would dig one side and the dogs the other and I would end up with no rabbits and no hens either but a large does load doggy dooos to clean up,

Eric swearsa about our rabbits eating everything; we don't have red fairy lights any more on our tree in the garden as they ate the little wire. And blue. So all we have are green and white lights now...:( And he picked up a bag of coal only for the (nibbled) bottom to fall out of it...

Ha Ha I bet it was CC.
We had lovely sunshine for most of the day. I rushed around doing my housework so I could get out and have a bit of a tidy in my garden.
I gave the hen house a good clean out first, the hens are so funny as they all come to see what is going on and have a good gossip about how I do it. Then they get in the way so it takes twice as long. Goldie Corn likes to sit on the roosting perch and direct the procedings, Auntie Beak squats in the pop hole, she knows she is in the way there but can see what comes out and what goes in. The others just mill around pretending to be helpful !!!!
The hens have scratted so many pebbles out on the grass over the past couple of months it is untrue. I managed to rake two thirds of the grass and collect them all up, I will do the rest another day as my back started to ache so I didn't want to tempt fate and set it off again.

Another lovely bright sunny day here, The wind was a tad chilly though. I opened up the green house for the girls to have a rootle about. They love getting in there if they can. I thought they could eat any bugs that might have been over wintering in there. They scratted and scratched about for a couple of hours and had a dust bath, then I don't know what kicked it all off but they had a right good argument. They were flapping about and shouting at each other. I went out side as first off I thought something had cornered them in there. They came out looking a tad foolish but the argument was sorted. They had made a right mess flower pots every where but they had a good time I guess !!!

37 degrees C here today and 30 for the next 4 days.,

On Feb 7th it will be one year since our devastating bush fires not far from here. It has been amazing to see the regrowth in the bush and the gradual rebuilding of many of the homes but it will still take some time for the full community to get back on their feet. Many people have not returned to the area and many are still living in make shift accommodation ie: caravans and and sheds while they sort out what and where to rebuild.

Well it was another nice day today a bit overcast now and then but not to cold even though we started the day with a real hard frost. I got my housework done, made a cottage pie for tonight and got a loaf on the go. Then I got outside and pressure hosed my patio, I took it easy and managed to get it all done. The loaf was just finishing off when I came back in and boy did it smell good. I was sorely tempted to cut the crust off and scoff it, but decided I could not cope with the pain in my guts if my back got grumpy after a sit down !!! I feel real tired now so it will be an easy day tomorrow for me thats for sure.

Yes Kate, The fog looks like rain/snow on the cam.
My security camera is the same, I often have to check is it raining or just the way the camera interprets the fog.
We have had a lot of fog here lately, often lasting from morning "dew-drop" to an all day event.
Nothing like the real humdinger fog we used to get when I can remember my Dad hanging out the car window to cling to the white line, while I watched we were'nt going to crash into the back of something in front.

I remember you telling us Ollie, I do feel sorry. I have always started my ponds off with small fish so they become used to the conditions of the pond. They soon grow and seem to be a lot hardier than starting off with big fish.

You wouldn't have to float in the pond CC just form a queue behind the cats. I made Satay prawn skewers the other day for our meal and the cats were almost on my plate although they had theirs before we sat down to eat.

My friend lives somewhere in New Jersey and she can't get out of the back door because of the snow. There's a 5 foot drift against the next door neighbour's house. She said she didn't get much sleep because the snow ploughs kept her awake going up and down the road. We don't even get a bit of grit on our road, let alone a plough!

We had a snow shower this morning which turned to rain. The sun came out about lunch time and it was mostly a nice bright day. It is tipping it down with rain now though. I did get out to dig a few worms with the hens. The boss Cat Sootz had to come out as well of course. Goldie Corn got real excited and kept getting on the fork as I was trying to lift it out of the ground to turn the earth over. I must get the spade out of the shed next time as I was nervous of spiking her.

I tried planting my garlic today and of course the hens were there like a shot. I showed them what I had and after a peck at the papery skin they were not interested. When they found out that they were to be planted what a differant story. I dug then another large area to scrap in and got the garlic's in the ground eventually but I bet the minute I came back in they have scrapped them all up. I will go out and check in a while.

I cooked the girls some sweetcorn for their breakfast they were so chuffed and were making real apreciative squeaks and squeals of delight. They don't normally get it breakfast time. Thats real nice to hear someone that enjoys their job, It is much better than having to go to the office and sit at the same old desk each day.

Made me check out of the kitchen window Tracy and it is the same here. I had best do something to heat up for the hens breakfast before I go to bed. Poor old things will be really annoyed at yet more snow.

Our's is building up tonight. You can see it on the Hencam outside camera. My cctv camera shows exactly the same downcoming. Due to be -3degrees in the morning when I have to go out to care for g'daughter.
We are coming back here when she gets up as I have a Tesco order coming. I really don't fancy driving when the roads are bad.
Our councils are not putting grit on the roads just now. The bill so far this winter is horrendous! :snow:

:O i would love to live were you are and there is melted snow(watery slush)/ice/thin snow on the ground, and the normal weather for the last couple of years is wet and cloudy no sun no heavy rain witch isd sometimes fun its just damp, not trampolining conditions which i do very often.

Ollie() is making me improve my sentences so I had to re-write my whole comments again:

I would love to live where you are. The weather where we are is slush and snow and abit icy. The weather round here normaly is just damp and cloudy, never sunny or warm. As its damp the trampoline is soaked, which is not very good for me as I practise my routines for compatitions. :weather_rain:

What a lovely day we have had here warm and sunny. I got loads of washing dry outside which was nice. My hens have been real happy and have been busy scrapping about the garden. Kimmi and Sootz came out with me to enjoy the sun which was nice. Sootz didn't want to come in and I ended up chasing him all over the place. Kimmi is real good and comes when I call him. Sootz just goes deaf and in the opposite direction !!!!!
