    Hi there fellow hen watchers.
I have been out of the country getting a tan....
Lovely to be back just in time for all the bangs and flashes.

Hens don't seem to bothered by it, though I do notice just now they, unusually, have their heds tucked under their wings.

Ollie in UK, just a hop, skip and a jump from hencam.

    Keeper of the hens

I think the hens have been tucking their heads under their wings because it's suddenly got colder. They're probably trying to keep warm and protect their combs from frostbite...although i don't think it's quite cold enough for that just yet, but ssssssshhh don't embarrass them!

Hope you've had a nice time out of the country Ollie - go anywhere nice?

    Scarlet

I trotted off to Lanzorote with my daughter, her hubby and my delightful grand daughter, who is the apple of my eye.
We rented a villa with its own pool which was used every day and all day and even into the night, by said grand daughter, even to having to drag her out of it for meals....
We just slobbed around the pool with lots of drinks, falling into it from time to time, having a lovely 'do nowt' holiday. (Translation for our foreign pals = 'do nothing' holiday.)
Nice having such a late in the year holiday but took a lot of waiting for. Never mind, the next holiday will be even nearer now!

Lanzorote is one of the Canary Islands off the west coast of Africa. They are just a few miles long made of volcanic rock and ash.
It is a tourist area, hot and dry, mostly English occupants but built and run by the locals (Spanish). Quite confusing really.
