Yes!! It currently sits on the windowsill next to the back door ... waiting. I am hoping it will fit next to the path that runs alongside the shed - its currently little stones. Joey is just in front of the path, under the grass, but this way it'll save hubby running it over with the lawn mower.

Did a bit of plotting and planning and we (my two girlfriends and I) are planning to do a Charity Lunch on 13th September Sunday for our local Hospice.
We have plenty to do right now:
    find the venue
find or beg for the food
    decide ont he menu
    tables and chairs
    crockery and cutlery
    and loads..........

    :juggle::juggle:

I love organising things so should be great fun and yet another project to help balance other life stuff. :-)

I will certainly remind everyone this time.
I did a 9 mile walk for a Hospice in Harrow just recently but was too shy to ask anyone for any money.
    This time I will ask.

As for the Charity Lunch for the Hospice, the tickets wil be £10 per head (I think!!) so anyone that fancies coming to MK would be most welcome.
I'll check with Neil before I post up any posters for the Lunch.

Been to see a grey girl called Poppy who was a stray. they have to advertise her as 'found' before they can rehome her, but i should have her in a week or so if nobody claims her. And she needs to be spayed first as 10,000,000,000,000,000 kittens might stretch LSE's patience the teeeeeeeniest bit...

Poppy I like that sweet name, imagine all those babies CC, you would be overun in no time and your cats and hens would be quite miffed.

Speaking of rabbits, wild that is, the man who first brought rabbits to Australia, Thomas Austin from the UK, released 24 bunnies near here about 20 minutes away at Barwon Park. He also released 5 hares, some sparrows and a partridge in a pear tree, well actaully 72 of them.

At the time Austin stated: "The introduction of a few rabbits could do little harm and might provide a touch of home, in addition to a spot of hunting."

Within 10 years, two million could be shot or hunted annually with no effect whatsoever on the population. It is the fastest spread ever of a mammal.

I love all sorts of rabbits despite the fact they rapidly nibble their way through our crops. It's not their fault. At the airport not far from here you can see them hopping around everywhere when you drive past.

Just thought someone may like this bit of trivia.
I dont know why I remember it but I do and it appealed to me.

Oooo, I forgot to say: I am now the proud owner of a dark chocolate-brown lop rabbit...I rang up about Poppy, but the lady had taken her to the vets and found out she was 'elderly'. So not suitable for me...but in the meantime this new one had come in who would be perfect. So we booked her in for spaying (tomorrow) and went to collect her tonight without knowing what we were picking up! Dini is in seventh heaven and has perked up no end even though she's banged up in a hutch. I'm calling her Treacle because she's the colour of black treacle.
The lady at the vet's thought I was insane.
    'What's the rabbit's name?'
    'Dunno.'
    'What breed?'
    'Dunno.'
    'What colour?'
    'Dunno.'
    'How old?'
    'Dunno.'
She laughed when I finally explained...

Oh that sounds painful CC, you will have to just fuss her while she is on the ground either that or get some long leather welding gauntlets.

No, she was a lot calmer today; we just sat in the garden for half an hour or so today, and she sat on my lap as I stroked her gently and we watched the hens and squirrels and birds and the odd cat ambling about. the only time she kicked was being put back in the hutch. Eric's putting a run together for her tomorrow so she can get a bit of sun and Dini can sit next to her.

It said one pic of Treacle was too big (no idea why, seems same size) I'll have a go at sorting and adding that tomorrow :001_smile:
