I love the view of the hens. It is beautiful the way it looks like they are in a giant, clear ball. Just gorgeous .

Its great to see a different view - I always imagined that the 'border' to the right of the camera was a mesh fence but it doesn't look like it from the fish-eye lens.

    Keeper of the hens

It's nice to have a different view - this way you get to see the roof and sides of the coop, too :)

I prefer this! One gets the entire picture at both levels all at once! I think this will contribute greatly to your popularity, Neil & Red. / Regards from Rhode Island

Rats! Looks like I came on too late to see it... Now its an interesting art view of what is most likely the reflection of what, I guess, is a ring of overhead lights. Maybe fisheye during the day and regular lens @ night? Would that be hard to do?

I quite like the fish-eye, and I'll try and add it when I get chance - it does mean though that when dusk comes the lights reflect in the lens and you don't see anything, but by then the hens are in bed so you aren't missing much!

If I try and time it right I can keep the reflections to a minimum - although it takes a bit of fathing sellotaping the lens to the cam every morning! :) I'm nothing if not technical!

*fathing sellotaping... Two new words! Although obviously sellotape is "tape" :) Or (trade name here) "Scotch tape" the clear stuff; or "Duck tape" the wide gray stuff. LOL. What's *fathing tho?

PS. USA ers - is it Duck or Duct or ???

I missed it, too!!! I rarely get on during the day, so no chance at all from here in Mountain Time!! Usual boring nightime observations...Penny and Tilly up front, Milly in the back. Penny and Tilly were momentarily awake ....they are moving again now...Tilly just stuck her head back into her feathers....

Hmm, trying to think of a way to explain the word fathing...

It means messing about with, usually in a negative sense. I think :)

So...hmmm, to use it in a sentence:

I was fathing video gaming instead of doing my homework (?)

Isn't the word "faffing"? I think that's what we use here in the Midlands, and it means the same - messing around and not really doing anything useful.
