Swine flu jab: was told at the Doc's yesterday that my Mum has to have it and because she is living with me at the moment, that i have to have it too.
I will be calling the Surgery to-day to find out when I can have this done. I'm scared for my Mother who is only just recovering from her long stay in Cardiac Critical Care.

For reasons beyond my understanding, the pain in the proverbial who is still in my house got a letter form our Doc's asking him to come in for a swine flu jab. Didn't know that the Government had decided that our Boys in Blue were so essential....or could it be because I am entitled to have a swine fly jab because of Breast Cancer. Dunno.....and confused.
regardless, I will contact our Surgery to-day and see what I can find out.

You can get the doc to come and do your ma at home, can't you? My ma's GP comes to the house to do her jabs and things. Hope she's progressing well - and that you aren't doing too much!

Yes, see if your doc (or more likely the practice nurse!) will come out to you. Good idea CC!

I suspect the force will all be jabbed - don't want to give them an excuse to take time off and woe betide that they could pass it on to the criminals!

I don't think having a history of breast cancer is a reason to have the flu jab - it tends to be 'current' conditions like asthma, diabetes, heart disease, immunosuppressed individuals etc (and those living/caring for them). And your docs wouldn't be writing to him to give him the jab without writing to you first if it was related to your health. As he still lives in the house its a good idea for him to have the jab though, so as not to pass flu to you to take to your mom.

That's the "grab and run" principle Sara - inherited by all children under the age of about 6 when they finally learn to eat the chocolate and hide the wrappers. Then they progress to eating the chocolate and hanging the wrapper back up so that you think you have more chocolates on the tree than you really do have!!!

Ha ha ha, thats the way to go Sara that will be so funny especially if you wrap them in shiny paper first. I remember when Tim was being greedy one year about the Christmas crackers and trying to find the one with the biggest gift in it for his own place setting. On Boxing day I wrapped a large pickled onion in some foil and put it in one of the crackers. Of course he put it by his own plate and we all had such a laugh when he pulled it and found the onion. He was well gutted, but took it all in good part and still to this day says I hope I havent got the onion this year.

I pulled my tooth out because the stupid dentist that i used to have wouldnt do it whiles i was pregant,i was only on a couple pain killers, they didnt do anything, so your head goes west and you do anything to stop the pain..

My gum is ok today, woke up with all my teeth red with blood mmhh nice to look at.
The stitches ive started wiggleing with my tounge with is doing my head in because i can't stop doing it.
Atleast my face is a normal shape now.. thanks everyone...

The kids and i went to the surestart children center christmas party today, we saw farther christmas. Dennis pulled his beard off.. very funny..

He asked Arthur what he wanted for christmas, Arthur told him he wanted a ben 10 car..
Then santa gave both boys a gift and we went to go and have some food.

Arthur opened his gift and threw it down. I asked him what's the matter.
He said it wasn't what he told santa he wanted, As he wanted a ben 10 car.

I tryed to explain to him he may get that for christmas, The gift that santa gave him, was just an extra gift for being good today. poor thing. will add pictures soon

Arthur keeps getting hot then cold.
Dennis has to have milk as its his food as well as drink, He is off the boobs now, We finshed that about 2weeks ago, as i had to have an operation in my mouth, and i need to take pain killers, which i didnt want to go, and feed baby, plus he 6months and feeds very well,
Arthur has juice and water, sometimes he has milk, but he hasnt had any lately, nor is he eating to much, He keeps saying he is tierd, See what the doctors says, be the 2nd time ive gone..

He are some photos, taken me a few days to get them on here, due to pc being a silly thing..

He was meant to, Ken had the runs to put it bluntly, ANd i only have a loo up stairs, ken has a stair lift at his house, So he had to stay at home, But charlotte took him breakfast, and watched him open all the gifts we got him, then hubby went round with a drink, spent time there, then we sent round christmas dinner, then christmas pudding, then charlotte and arthur went again, then i took him turky sandwiches and cake for tea and took kids and pull crackers with him, Dont worry it wasnt a bug he had,so the kids are safe, He started his new tables christmas eve,so they made him i'll, So i invitied him for boxing day lunch, but he still not right,So i did the same again, Thhe funny thing is, When i took the tray of food around on booking day, the silly cow me,wanted to wear me new boots, like you do,nearly slipped on the ice outside my house, with a plate full of beef roast dinner, talk about laugh, Ayway told him as soon as he better, we have christmas lunch again, and no kids you dont get any more gifts,,,xxx

I'm glad you got to spend some time with him and that he had company over Christmas.

I have to mention this - what are his new tablets? Is he taking antibiotics at all? If his diarrhoea carries on get him to go to the doctors as it could be caused by his medication. We believe there is a link between tablets people take for ulcers and antibiotics that can cause a very serious infection called c.diff. It can be helped with different antibiotics.

Good to see you here Sara - hope you are OK and that the boys have recovered. As for the floor of the teenager's bedroom - if you want to remember what the carpet looks like, take a picture now!

No, the Godparents buy Dennis a gift! Usually silver.
It's best to keep the cakes in a supermarket until you need 'em...:)

Very very nice Sara. Thank you for sharing.

Your fairy cakes should keep for several days in an air tight tub. I am not sure how long they will keep as mine always get eaten real quick.

And I'm not sure how long fairy cakes last because
    1) I don't cook
    2) I've never had any long enough to keep 'em
    3) I let Waitrose look after 'em till I'm ready for 'em...:)

they wont if you let them cool completely before storing them and keep them in a cool place. Well mine don't they will dry out and go stale if you put them in cardboard box.
