    So we have been slowly introducing the dogs to the concept of free-roaming intruders in the garden (ie, chickens). Firstly, letting them look out the window, then from the other side of the gate, then bringing a bird over for a sniff, and then on the lead in the garden. Today, they were let off the lead and distracted with a clicker every time they went near the birds at a faster than mooching pace.

    After about 10 minutes, they seemed to lose all interest. Result, we thought. Then, where are they? Turn round and there are both boys hoovering up crusty chicken poo with great relish!

    Urgh.
