Oh, cuteness overload! What a beauty! Mom looks very proud and it was good to see them paying respects to Trouble (nice headstone - did you make that CC? Such talent!)

    Welcome littlebeak!!

Yes, I carved it last year on holiday - three years behind schedule...:\ I think the suntrap was more a lure than poor old Trouble's grave though! Have you put Joey's stone in place yet, Kate? We need a pic of the garden now it's matured a bit...

I've sent Neil a pic of Livia and Onion and LB dining al fresco on the patio...but I've promised that's the last one for a while as he'll get sick of me. If he isn't already...:tooth:

Littlebeak is lovely, CC. I wonder if he/she will end up black like Livia or with black and Onion-y coloured stripes?

She (if you read back, I'm trying to force nature's hand here...my seamstress friend has promised to run up a series of chickfrocks for her) is mainly dark grey/black but with a yellow belly. There seem to be paler spots on her wings too.

I'm tempted...although the hutch isn't that large, really. But they're only in it overnight, and they're bantams. It's about 2'x3' floorspace...what's the usual sleeping space requirement, anyone know?

No, still got to protect it from the elements but haven't got around to getting the stuff. Will do it very soon though and post a picture.

Did you tell me to paint the letters in a lighter grey too or did I dream that? (I doubt it was a dream - they're usually nightmares if the one I had last night about a helicopter crash is anything to go by!)

Yes; a tiny tin of Humbrol enamel (from a model shop)in a pale grey, paint in the letters and then when it's 100% dry, sand the whole thing down with a little bit of wet & dry to get rid of any bits where you might have gone over the edges. Peasy!

Next time we go the cafe for Saturday lunch I'll pop in the model shop - hubby always likes to look in the window so its a good excuse! Just have to waterproof it then and make sure hubby watches out for it when he mows the lawn. Might put it on the slabs actually as they come up to the edge of where he's buried.

He is off to Shangai next week for a short trip. Did you ever see the video he took of your ginger kitty when he visited?:cat:

CC I will ask Trev about video when he gets home on Sunday, we collect him from airport around lunchtime.
I am still contemplating having a go at the carving, will let you know when I am ready to have a lesson, thanks heaps. Thomas is doing ok at present and has put on a bit of weight so vet said that is very positive.

How lovely; it's brilliant when they respond to treatment isn't it? Bits is at the vet at the moment; he has the most terrific snotty sneezing fits where we all dive for cover. He had some pills and it went away, he finished the pills and it came back!

More pills; but this vet said it could be a grass seed causing an infection, and that if it comes back after this course of pills, Bits will have to go into hospital to see if there's something up there which needs to be removed...:(
