Hello! I thought you might like this latest video of our chickens (well, mainly Barbara) attacking a sausage!

Babs is a nutcase! She's sooooo greedy and pecks really violently. My other half made some Greek fried courgette patties the other day and we gave a left-over one to Babs and she scoffed it faster than four hens consumed the other one. She can swallow grapes whole!

Ha ha, a real character eh ? those Greek courgette patties sound rather interesting. I have loads of courgettes at the moment so must track down a recipe for them. At the moment I ask what anyone fancies for dinner and say as long as it can have courgette with it Ha ha. Daft thing is I can't even give some of them away as no one seems to like them round here.

Barbara is a bit fearsome - I feared for the camera at one point! Lovely to see them though, especially the little cutey black one in the background. Nice to see her all grown up!

When you hand feed them, Babs will barge the others out the way like a bowling ball does pins! She then pecks hard at your hand, not checking what's finger or food. Margot will take her share. Geraldine however has developed a new habit of taking food and dropping it for the Silkies and calling them to it. She didn't even hatch them. I think she's a bit confused. Have you heard of that before? I'll try to catch it on film

    Keeper of the hens

Love the video Ferg, Babs is mental! :-)

Really like the style with the sausage poking out from the bottom of the camera, gives a real sense of action when it gets attacked!
