    Keeper of the hens

Some of the signs that made me chuckle, haha!

I like the "I'm so upset I made a sign" best!

Breakfast TV showed a newspaper photo today of one that said something like "We are your futrue" (sic)

(I assume (hope!) the error was deliberate and ironic!)

    Keeper of the hens

Hehe! Also, this is happening at Keele too which we're a part of :D

    Love:Keele Hate:Cuts?
In true Keele tradition, we will declare independence in protest!

On the 18th of February 1981, Keele students declared independence in protest against tuition fees:

30 years later, the cost of higher education is again set to become unaffordable. This is intended to be an non-politically aligned protest, as we want other students to have the same opportunities as we have, without being burdened for life.

Essentially, we're trying to make it happen again. So far there are 350+ people working on it, contacting other countries, celebrities, the media, all sorts! It is set to take place February 18th :face-smile:

Good luck with it. I don't think everybody should have to have a degree, but I do think they should have the chance if they want to.

I don't see why they have to mess with the current system. I think the fees are reasonable and the pay-back arrangements managable (I still can't afford to do one though!)

I just wish that in amongst all the sutdy they'd teach common sense too. It seems many graduates are sadly lacking in that. Present company excepted Red, but I think that's down to your upbringing rather than your uni course! Can't comment on Lyle, but he must have his head screwed on to have managed to pull Red!!
