Hi all, it's Mac,( the BellMacTom is my wife, Belle, me, Mac and our son Tomas )
still very new to all of this but finding loads of useful info here so thanks to all.
Before I got my girls I read loads of posts saying that apple cider vinegar is really good for chickens so I have been giving it every other day but what I'm unsure of is if this is often enough or too often. Should it be given every day or just when I think they need it etc. Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks Ollie, I've enjoyed the forum so far and have enjoyed little chats with one or two members, the info has been invaluable and some of the threads have made me chuckle , I'm in Coleshill in Warwickshire tried a few times to add my self to the map app but only ever get a blank map and can't click to add my location, I thought maybe it was because I tend to use my iPad but have tried on 2 pc's and still can't add :-(

I give my girls apple cider vinegar Mack I just add it to their water each time. I put about a good tablespoon per gallon. It is very beneficial to them and helps keep them healthy. If you can get the whole apple cider vinegar. It is much better for them than the distilled store bought one. You can usually locate it in the horse section of your feed store.

Thanks for that I'll keep going with it then, it certainly seemed to help one my hens, button, she had a dirty behind cos she couldn't get the food from the feeder due to her funny beak and drank much more than she ate, we put her food in deep dish so she could scoop it and added acv to the water.
luckily the place I bought my hens from is within a ten minute drive and he stocks 2 or three different types. People say it's good for us too but I haven't been tempted to try it so far.
