    Keeper of the hens

Happy Halloween to everyone, and thanks to all who came to visit us and see our spooky house!

    [click for bigger version]

We did quite well this year and Joe was very scary pretending to be a mannequin and lunging and screaming at people when they got close - he only managed to make one person burst into tears!

    Have a spooky night everyone!

    That house looked terrific!!
I may pinch the idea of huge spooks at the windows for next time.

The pretend cauldron fire we devised (a disposable BBQ stuffed into a jam-pan) set us thinking about having a fire-pit.
As we intend devising one (no funds available) I need to know how these work ie., the airflow through the fuel. Does it work like a metal BBQ with the fire just sitting in its own ashes?
