I've seen the festival of speed on tv - looks quite good (if you like that sort of thing of course!) If Murray Walker's there tell him I think he's FAB! He doesn't know me, and would think you were mad, but I LOVE listening to him!!!

Sorry I missed you by fifty seven minutes I have just come in from the garden for a bite to eat and thought it was about time I looked in. I am going back out in a few minutes to get some potatoes planted. I get loads of help from the hens as they love anything to do with scrabbling about in the soil. I have it all dug over so the hardest part is done.

KateB...after the 15 miles of roadwarks, did you get to collect the wheels?
As for the M1, try J13 at the moment and the A421. I swear they always seem to want to fix roads that I travel on daily.

Yes, we did get the wheels. Really nice bloke (think hubby had garage envy - double garage, really clean and tidy!) lovely house in a quiet cul-de-sac, liver coloured labrador that bruised my leg with its claws!!

We just followed the sat nav Shobhna, didn't know how long the road works were and once you're in 'em ....! I always get stuck behind Mr Flat Cap out for a 28mph drive with his wife, regardless of the speed limit on the road. Or a micra. Its always a micra!!!

Hey there! Watch it with that Micra bashing..

I have always had Nissan cars but the next size up. Hubby was trained by Nissan in car repair so we saved on that. Though we only ever had one of them break down and that was a just a water hose that came off.

I have a Micra now as it was hubbie's leaving gift when he retired.

They are a bit small but don't use much fuel and fine for this little old lady.
They can go faster than 28mph but then tractors go at 70mph when no one is following!

Ollie... I used to drive Nissans of various types for many years and yes, they are very very good cars. I have driven everything from a Micra to a Bluebird.
I do know what KateB means though. For me it is always a Ford Ka with more passangers then space in it and the poor thing is struggling to get forward motion. :-)

CC....That white van with the temporary traffic lights is on the A421 right now so you will be OK today. :-)

you are so right. everything does happen for a reason but some things that happen are nasty and vindictive and the rest. I know I'm made of far stronger stuff so I will be fine.
Also, I have a birthday coming soon so i want to be planning happy things rather then being unhappy.

After all, I can choose the mood I am in.

He used to be a real hunter and carry home fully grown rabits. We all said we would loved to have seen him get them through the cat flap. He brought home a pidgeon a few months back but hadnt killed it, poor lad has only three teeth now. He let it go under their bed during the night.

Ha ha I bet they were real charactures. Once you have had cats it is difficult to be with out one. I lived in London for many years, but wouldnt have animals then as I was at work from dawn to dusk so it would have been unfair to them. My Kimmi cat's dad was called Simba

The hens are shouting at something, we have a pair of collared doves nesting somewhere and they come into the garden for the hens food. The hens get all narked about it and chase them off shouting at the tops of their voices. I have to check as we have a hawk that comes now and then and I dont know if it would try to attack the hens
