Hi I really could do with some help my hen - an ex-bat - is 4 years old (she's a warren). After we came back from a 2 week holiday our friends, that had been looking after our chooks, said that she had started laying soft shellled eggs. 2weeks on she has still not improved. We have gone from soft crushed eggs to harder crushed eggs to off coloured crushed eggs to yolks to no eggs at all. What can we do she has never layed soft eggs before she has been our no.1 layer!!! Is there a cheap recipe that can boost her energy levels???
