For the first time in 40 years, I now don't have a horse. We lost Eldorado, our Peruvian Paso, this morning. I'm devastated. :face-crying:

Eldorado hurt his leg, and there was nothing the vet could do, but put him down. He was the most loving horse I've ever been around, never had a horse before that gave hugs and kisses. I'm going to have to find some kind of a horse VERY soon, Don has taken this so hard, I'm afraid he's going to make himself sick.:face-sad:

Make him concentrate on the possibility of giving another horse the wonderful life which you gave El Dorado. Make him look forward with excitement as well as back with fondness.

So pleased you found two new little beauties to care for. They are beautiful and so dinky. No wonder you fell in love with them both. I look forward to seeing many more photos of them xxx

Will Twink have chores to do with her little cart as in helping you round the farm ? I am sure it would be very handy come mucking out time.

Yes, NN they are very hardy..Cookie is 26 years old, but you'd never know it to look at her and watch her running around. They live on average to be 32yrs.

CC, just tell LSE that it's a dog with funny looking feet. They do make little trainers (Tennis shoes) for these little guys, so they can come inside without wreaking your floors, so you could disguise even the hoofs.

People do bring them inside to sit on the couch, they are trained that way, so that they can go visit in hospitals, nursing homes and schools. Shenanigan's previous owner has taken him to several nursing homes around here for visits. :face-smile:

Either I haven't met enough horses or I haven't looked at them close enough!

There is an advert on TV for a mobile phone network with a dancing Shetland pony. (Google "dance pony dance" and look for the Scotsman article - it has the ad embedded). Every time I see it I think of Lynn's little horses!

Oh My how adorable no wonder you just had to have her she is so adorable I got my tape measure out and she is so tiny. I showed her picture to Grandad North and he was fascinated especially when I help up the tape to show her size.

We call them wall eyed over here, with their blue eyes. I like tham but know a lot of people dont and there are loads of Myths about them not being able to see properly and such. I love that dancing shetland Kate it is such fun.

How is little Cookie doing with her cart pulling lessons. I think it was her. I had meant to ask before this I would love to see more pictures if you have the time please.
