    Keeper of the hens

I actually found some chicken agility equipment in a pet shop in Skipton, and despite it being a ridiculous £15 I couldn't resist!!

Elsie is obsessed with mealworms; she will follow that mealworm packet to the end of the earth, will accept human attention for mealworms and probably dodge bullets for mealworms...they are her favourite thing :)

She did really well actually and it was all hilariously funny - please excuse all the laughter ;)

I howled with laughter at Elsie's bumbling attempts to scramble over those obstacles.
She made a really good job of wrecking them.
You should have used stronger elastic!

I don't know about agility equipment - the speed she moves from place to place to get those mealworms she must be the fastest hen on 2 legs!!!!

Ha ha I have asked him if we can do that and he was laughing so fingers crossed.

Lynn I was wondering how you are doing with the storm and all and pray you are are ok. I have been thinking of you all. Grandad Norths family all live in new Jersey so it is quite a worry as we have heard from one but nothing since. The devastation is awful to behold I saw where even coffins have been forced up by the water and so many people have lost their homes. Makes me feel awful at moaning about the little bit of wind and cold chill we have here.

I have a friend in NJ and last I heard was on Monday when she said they had no power but other than that were OK at that point. Another friend in Canada says they were issued a red warning (not sure exactly what that means, but sounds serious!) but she said they've just had heavy rain and winds, nothing serious like America. It is terrible.

NN, I live in Washington state and that is all the way across the USA form me..thank goodness. It's like 2,400 some miles from here to the east coast, where the storm hit. We do have a son and his family that live out there, so we have to worry about them. They did make it alright though. There are still millions of people without power, lots of towns that are flooded out. Scary stuff.

My friend is fine - had no electricity for a while, but are OK now. Her work was quite badly hit (she works for a boat builder/yard, something like that) but I think with a bit of effort and clean-up they'll be OK.

Oh of course you do Lynn just having a senior moment, I looked at the map and saw Washington and thought of you straight away totally forgetting it was the wrong one !!!! Every one in our family are ok thank goodness although some of them have no power and other problems but nothing that can not be fixed. Jay was telling me the marina that he worked on when he lived on Staten Island is totally gone.
