On Monday afternoon as it was so nice and sunny we decided to visit Wollaton hall and deer park. It was lovely to stroll around in the sunshine especially after all the rain on Sunday. The trees were very pretty with their autumn leaves. I got some half decent photos to share with you so I do hope you will enjoy them.

This magpie looks as if he is whispering sweet nothings, but he is looking for ticks and such for an easy meal

Once again, your pictures are outstanding NN! It's funny how pictures can drag up old memories - I recall doing a project at primary school about deer. I don't remember much about now, other than finding pictures of the young with those spots. The stag is amazing! I love the way species can work together with the birds cleaning the areas the deer can't reach. It's a shame you never took up photography professionally.

Thank you for your kind comments, I thought you would like to see them I did post some from there a long time ago when we took Aurelia. It seemed strange not having her with us skipping along. Yes it was nice to see the birds cleaning the deer, you often see that on the wildlife programmes so it was real nice to see it for ourselves. The birds were so funny they just hopped on up and got to work straight away.
