Hi, I haven't been on here for awhile and not used the forums/discussions before.
Last year I knitted several Hen Jumpers for ex battery hens and gave them to a friend who gave a home to 6 hens, now doing really well. I still have 3 jumpers and wondered if anyone out there wanted them? I'm happy to post them to you.:face-smile:

    Keeper of the hens

Hi HighBrinks, how lovely of you! :)

I'll get in touch and ask my dad, he might be interested as one of his girls was moulting heavily. She's actually never managed to re-grow some of her feathers so is a bit of a permanent baldy!!

Glad to hear your friends' ex battery hens are doing well! We had an ex bat that we rescued from outside a meat processing plant as she had escaped; we only had her six months and then she unfortunately passed away but she was a very sweet and loving hen.

Did your friend get them through the British Hen Welfare Trust? I want my dad to adopt more ex bats but wouldn't know where to get them from!

HI HighBrinks, welcome to the forum! Well done on the knitting - I'm sure there was a thread on here at some point telling us where to find a knitting pattern and where to send the jumpers but I can't find it. Anyone else help?
