    Keeper of the hens

It's Zoey's second birthday tomorrow - can you believe it?! She sure doesn't act like she's two!!

We've bought her some awesome presents, including a stuffed pink Octopus that she had (and destroyed!) as a puppy, now how fitting is that?! She's also got some beef & liver chews, lots of hide twists, a fortune cookie shaped puzzle feeder and an interactive treat toy.

I'm not sure how she'll do with the treat toy, we tried Kasper with one years ago and he just attempted to destroy it to get the treats out!! :rolling:

With the treat toy, you hide treats under the red circles. The dog then has to move the circles to one of the two exit points; the circle drops out and the treat is released!

Hopefully Zoey will have an awesome birthday tomorrow, even if she is being left for a little while for my birthday meal with my family! I'm baking Zoey a cake later today and using mashed potato as icing!

Happy Birthday Zoey! You are the most mischievous, whirlwind pup I have ever known! You brightened our lives and you're the smallest, most adorable Staffy out there! We love you to bits, even when you're a pain, and hope to have many, many years ahead with you

    Thanks CC :tooth:

Cake baked! We used butternut squash as the icing in the end; the colour was fantastic!

    Keeper of the hens

She should be a big girl, as oppose to the little runty thing she is! :rolling: We were looking through her baby book yesterday - yes, we have a baby book for our dogs, we are sad! :tooth: - and it doesn't look like Zoey has grown since she was about 5 months old :rolling:

CC it was actually really easy to make! It only took about 20 minutes, including cooking time. It didn't rise as much as I wanted so was a fairly flat cake, but both dogs loved it and that's all that matters!

Some photos from Zoey's day...her haul, some treats my parents bought her, the birthday girl herself and her cake and 'candle' :rolling: ...she hasn't got to play with any of her toys yet as because we've been out the house so long both dogs have to be out when we are back, so no toys for Zoey as her mean old brother resource guards!! ;)

    Keeper of the hens

Yeah, she had a blast

The octopus took some rough treatment before finally losing all it's stuffing. The body is completely empty now, but the legs still have stuffing in them so for now she can still have it to play with!

I don't think it'll be long 'till he's legless...then it will be all over for him! This is why the pups only get stuffed toys on special occasions - even the 'tough' toys don't last more than half an hour!

I could try and mend him, but I'm a bit useless!! :tooth:
