    Keeper of the hens

We made it to the secure field today, it was wonderful

We walked across the beach, despite it being high tide and there being sea water everywhere! Kasper found a lamb's skull (damnit you crappy farmers...) and ate some of it, but hopefully it won't cause issues. It was a beautiful day, and not too hot at all.

Kasper loved diving into the ditches, some of which were surprisingly this photo he was actually swimming properly, this narrow hole was so deep!!

We had several rest points, but Kasper refused our water (loved trying to drink the saltwater though, the pleb!) until he was *really* thirsty

He was so good at resting when we did :)

    High tide

    Pretty views!

There were sheep that had escaped on the beach (honestly, I HATE the farmers around here!!) which drove Kasper crazy, and then all the other sheep came to see what the free sheep were looking at :sarcastic:

    Then the path got easier

    More to come! :)

Our final rest point before the field. Kasper didn't need a drink, but he hopped onto a bench and waited whilst we had one :rolling:

Then it was field time - see below for Kasper's first moments of freedom! (remember he had already been walking for almost two hours at this point ;) )

     photo fieldfun30_zps8eyardpp.jpg

Look at his curly floofy fur hahaha it dried all thick from the saltwater!

     photo fieldfun31_zpsuuxtgq0x.jpg
I think they were tired :)

     photo fieldfun33_zpsuzegtz4n.jpg

Kasper had a quick pootle on the agility seesaw, although he was very shocked when it swung down with him on it!!! :rolling:

     photo fieldfun34_zps4i56x1mm.jpg
Then it was back out front to wait for our taxi :)

    Keeper of the hens

We were walking for 2 hours and 50 minutes, I am SO glad we were able to get a taxi back! :tooth:

Kasper did really well with everything that was thrown at him. He chilled every time we were waiting for something, he was calm in the taxi, and he just behaved very well overall. Since we got back around 3pm all he has done is sleep and gone to the garden twice for a piddle! He drank a lot so needs lots of toilet breaks, and he has the runs because the big dope kept seeking out saltwater too :sarcastic:

But no, it's been a really amazing day. Can't wait to take Zoey at some point!

O what a lovely day you all had...and he was so good off the lead! I'm not surprised he's so knackered!

    Keeper of the hens

It was really, really fun :) Thanks CC, he did do really well off the lead - we were impressed!

Other than to go to the toilet, Kasper did NOTHING but sleep until 1pm today! He had a few play sessions with his sister, a 20 minute walk and slept the rest of the day...I've never seen him so tired :rolling:

I just asked how it went on another thread - doh!

What a fantastic time he had! Love it when he's rubbing and rolling at the beginning - pure joy!

i so admire everything you do for your pets. if only the rest of the world could give just a fraction of what you do ...

    Keeper of the hens

It was such a great day, a real memory to treasure

Haha yeah he doesn't really get to roll (in grass at least) anymore as he gets really tangled when he's on a longline...if he's really soggy he has a cheeky roll, but most times he doesn't try.
Thank you Kate, that is such a lovely thing to say :)
