    Keeper of the hens

So when we took Kasper for a walk this morning, as the weather was nice, I took my camera to get some photos as Lynn very kindly said she enjoys seeing pics from our walks (thanks Lynn!!)...unfortunately I took the following photo and then my camera decided the battery was too drained to take any more :rolling:

     photo mesh_zpsw6lmhtep.jpg

So no photos from Kasper's walk, but I charged the battery whilst we walked Zoey and took it on Raiden's!!

Some of them are dull, like this one XD

Heading towards the mountain...if you see the line of stones near the top, that's the path where we walked!

One of the things I love about here are all the mountains you can see in the distance, just different layers of mountains
Having a little break whilst we soak up the view! :heartsabove:

This was all completely new terrain for Raiden, and he really enjoyed himself

He is safely on a lead here, we would never let him go off lead his first time up a mountain!!

Thanks Kate  I just re-looked at the one of me training him on the mountain - he looks HUGE! Like an actual dog, omb where has the time gone?!

Of course despite being out for over an hour and a half we didn't see any dogs he could play with, just two off lead Labs, one of which was reactive / aggressive, so we couldn't put Rey down to socialise *sigh*

Thanks CC :) I can't get over how flipping cute he is...when I met him the first few times, when he was really little, I told myself I had to make sure I enjoyed him whilst he was that tiny little slug, and at his cutest...but every week that passes his beard grows, his legs grow, and he just seems to get cuter!!

    Keeper of the hens

    Another autumn hike!

This was Raiden's first large foggy and rainy walk, can you believe it? In the two months we've had him it's only rained a handful of times, and usually when Rey was sleeping, so he hasn't experienced rain much at all. He did SO well though, and he really doesn't seem to mind glad he doesn't seem like rain-hating Zoey!

    Where's the view gone?!

     photo 4mnth1dayrain_zpseykpywul.jpg

Look at that beautiful soggy beard!

     photo 4mnth1daybeard_zpss2ozynzs.jpg

We've been putting a lot of effort into building the amount of time Rey will hold a sit until he gets a treat, and it's awesome for taking cute photos!

     photo 4mnth1daypose_zpsxsfofpb1.jpg

He still offers sits all. the. time, too :sarcastic:

     photo 4mnth1dayrocks_zpsd15ouyow.jpg
    Pootling puppy :)

     photo 4mnth1dayfield_zpskicfwqgq.jpg

He really enjoys walks in the forest but managing a longline around so many trees is difficult, huh Lyle? :tooth:

     photo 4mnth1dayexplore_zps6nljoxxa.jpg

There were virtually no leaves on the ground before it rained last night. The rain has knocked hundreds and hundreds to the ground and there's a thick carpet of leaves everywhere!

     photo leaves_zps0pxjtkvi.jpg
    We saw a robin :)

     photo robin_zpswiokcmgr.jpg

    My boys

     photo 4mnth1daycarry_zpslzio8cll.jpg

This is the first time I've worn wellies in almost six months, and I haven't worn anything other than shorts in so long I just went out in my PJ bottoms :tooth:

     photo 4mnth1daywalktime_zpsv6iobeom.jpg

This leaf got caught on its' way down!

     photo hangingleaf_zpsbvzw5aiq.jpg

And this was too beautiful to miss - these tiny colourful leaves looked amazing, and reminded me of Mabel's patterning!

    Keeper of the hens

Video...there's a cute bit at 6:40 of Raiden hurdling over a fallen log off lead - I wish I knew how to slow videos down!

He was off lead once we were certain there was nothing too distracting about and had a clear view of the path ahead, and he did really just four weeks he's gone from only being able to walk for five minutes total before needing to be carried, to being down for virtually a whole walk!

Several years ago when we walked in this forest often, there were frequently posters calling for witnesses / help as livestock were being killed by idiotic owners letting their dogs off lead in the field, where sheep and cows are often kept. Now there are a few signs demanding dogs be kept on lead, which is wonderful, and in future if we see off lead dogs in this field we will ask the owners to put their dogs on lead and report them

The farmer used to have lots of trouble with disrespectful dog owners who just let their dogs offlead and run wild in the forest, we saw quite a few chasing cows and in the six months we lived there several sheep were killed, then when the farmer stuck up posters asking for any witnesses or for people to please keep their dogs onlead, dog owners tore them down! It's good there are permanent signs now.

    Keeper of the hens

No, he's impressed! It was really sad seeing the farm animals bothered by dogs, especially because the farmer doesn't have to let dogs be walked through that field.
